  1. The SSSL look lower than usual to me. From cars I've seen anyway
  2. Hey guys, just lowered my fg Mk2 f6 on SSL front SSSL rear. Its a little lower than what I'd like but still looks cool all the same. I may swap the rears over for SSL in the coming weeks.
  3. Apparently all is fine. Had it checked out and the shaft play is minimal and acceptable to the workshop manual.

  5. A common issue is the waste gate solenoid or boost solenoid getting sticky. The remedy is to clean it with wd40 or something similar to free it up again. Or replace it ($45 odd from ford) that's ofcourse if your issue is that simple.
  6. Whats the difference between the two housings you stated? I didnt notice any in/out play but could be. Ive had a few people 'in the know' more than me say its a common thing.. ill get it booked into ford
  7. It's had 3 oil changes in its short life. I'd be surprised if the filter is blocked
  8. I did an oil change the other day. The car has just over 20,000kms now. So this afternoon I lifted the bonnet to check the oil level and I could hear the turbo still winding down (just turned the car off) but I could hear it a little louder than normal, all though it's not loud enough to hear with the bonnet closed. I popped the front pipe off to have a look and noticed slight but Definate scoring on the housing. There's no damage to the blades and shaft play is minimal (I'm no mechanic so how minimal im not sure what's acceptable) I've attached some pics below. Question is now what's the next step? Is it signs its on its way out? I don't hoon this car it's treated with respect and only give it a stab once it's warmed up etc etc. It's an fg mk2 f6. car is still under warranty

  11. She handle good now with the bilsteins.
  12. That looks awesome^^ but looks lower than ssl. Could be the shadows. It's strange how king springs always look different from car to car
  13. Bump. OP How did you go with this? Currently having the same issue. Cheerz
  14. Would anyone have any idea as to why my ff f6, used to flutter when shutting off the throttle (stock) and now randomly it makes the tshhh sound. The flutter just stopped over night. I bought tHis car brand new and thought it was odd it had a nice deep flutter in standard form. Now has 15k on it with the flutter gone? Also note, everything functions as normal. Boosting as it should etc

  18. Just saw your location. Never mind but feel free to pm me etc
  19. Agreed^^^. I'm in the trade if you need any advice on the job feel free to pm. We do fg rad sup often. Are you in melbourne?
  20. If they're not damaged (seems to be a common problem lately) I don't see the need until you are making BIG Power. Ie: over 500rwkw. The stock cams do their job fine for anything under that. Someone more educated please correct me if I'm wrong. But one aftermarket name comes to mind and that's atomic. I'd say NO, not really a worthwhile mod
  21. I think mine may have done the chain guide to. Noticed the exact things you described. Only have 11,000km though. It only does it sometimes on a cold start up, thought it might be pulley, tensioner, belt related.
  22. I've noticed the same thing as you described bomber. Have you found out what it was yet?
  23. Other than the tick what other symptoms would a broken guide display?
  24. G'day! I'm wondering whether or not this 'problem' I sometimes experience is common throughout the ZF's or not. This is my second FG with a zf (mk2) and they both have done it. Only when cold, say over night first thing in the morning, under light to moderate acceleration there is a slight hesitation shifting from 3rd to 4th. Is that what you'd call a flare? Now if it does it, it's only that one time and from then on it performs flawlessly as it should. The car is always warmed up briefly before putting it in drive and it generally won't see past 2000rpm until the oil temp gauge reads 1/4. Note: driving realllllllllly slowly it won't happen at all. Second issue if you'd call it an issue, is in performance mode the shifts are very hard. It almost feels as though the zf is tuned. Under WOT it throws gears confidently and it's unlike any stock zf I've ever driven. The car only has 10,500km on it and I've owned it since new. Well picked it up with 2000km on it. Not really worried by these things just more curious as to what the reason behind it could be. Any thoughts, cheers guys
  25. This isn't mine but may be of some help
