The cheapest FG on carsales at the mo is 25k so I guess it depends on how much you can save a week vs how long you can wait. Personally I'd go the loan that way you'll have the car and some of your own cash left to buy shiny things for your new toy!
  2. Ive never seen the 100 octane. Where was it?
  3. I don't think I would ever run blended fuel in mine even if you could I was just curious mostly. Ive only ever (for the short time Ive owned it so far) run it on ultimate and one tank of Shell's V power. I haven't used 95 so I don't know what the comparison is like.
  4. Might as well go this way and see for myself. Worst comes to worst I can always pull the whole thing out and then put a aftermarket one in later on.
  5. Hey Fellas, I just wanted to know if there is anything coming up event wise anytime soon?
  6. Hey Guys, I searched the forum and found this got brought up once before and everyone seem quite happy to run E95 and up but since the only thread I found was from 2006 I just wanted know if any long term problems have come up with using the ethanol blended fuels in the T's?
  7. Cheers I didnt even know that. The cops were factored into my asking the question, I know off the turbo is the best option for improving its breathing but I was tryin to stay away from the pod being exposed (cause I know that is illegal). Since I now know that the Herrod box is still illegal, it's at least concealed and the less car savvy coppers might overlook it. So I guess its more of a question what will improve airflow the most? The Herrod or cutting a giant hole in the factory box and sticking big snorkel on it.
  8. I have to admit that a big part of the appeal towards the Herrod one is the looks. The APS and Highflow are pretty much a larger aftermarket F6 lower snorkel and for $90. After all how often do you drive with the bonnet up
  9. Im open to any recommendations to alternatives as well.
  10. Hey guys Ive been looking to start doing some basic upgrades to to my T and figred the air box is a good place to start. I know alot of people prefer the phoon lower snorkel or some thing like APS or Highflow's CAI but I was wondering if anyone had the herrod one and if so what is your opinion of it? This is the one im asking about. http://www.herrodmotorsport.com.au/HerrodPerformanceProducts/EngineComponents/BABFColdAirInductionKit/tabid/248/Default.aspx Cheers Chris

  21. Thanks guys. I live on the south end of the Northside but I work in acacia ridge and drive past beatty rd every day so Elite sound like the best option.
  22. Hey guys, Im a newbie to the site and a newbie xr6t owner. I just bout a 2004 that has been well looked after (appears so anyway) but I want to get it a thorough going over and service just so I have piece of mind and start my own servicing timeline. Also want to get a external transmission cooler fitted and the diff serviced. Any recconmendations on a good place to go any would be appreciated. Cheers

Hey guys, Just bought a 2004 xr6T last week and couldnt be happier! Got big plans but I think my budget is a fair bit smaller than my plans are... Ive never owned a turbo before so I glad there is a site dedicated too them. Ive been a ford person all my life but the turbo is by far the best one ive owned, I cant understand why I was looking for a N/A in the first place but I am so glad I took the Turbo for a spin just for the sake of it!
