  1. Nice..... But I am biased of course
  2. Very keen to hear your thoughts on the bonnet.... As for panel shops, not endorsing anyone in particular, but try Bump Shop at Eagle Farm, GT Motors at Albion and Exclusive Auto at NEwstead.
  3. HOw much for the Growler box? PM me ....
  4. Didn't realise that the tail lights in the 50th's were different. Tinting gets done on mine today, and seeing as though I'm not going to lower it, I'm also thinking about an XR8 bonnet. The G6E just needs something to give it more of a presence or stance. The front just is too plain.
  5. lol.... and that is why we love you Pat ! But seriously, there is so much conflicting BS out there that people give you. Going at full retail prices, how can it jump from $595 to $900? I guess some people actually just pay it.
  6. Bomber, from what I can gather, the SL's are going to be the LEAST change in height for the fronts. I don't particulalry want to have the front standard whilst I change the springs in the rear. So, it's pretty much SL's on the front, and whatever - SSL's or SSSL's on the rear, or leave it stock standard. But I would be keen to hear what you come up with ride height wise.
  7. Lol... Pedders were the ones who quoted me $900 !!!!!
  8. Yeah Bomber, if I do this, it will definitely be SL's on the front as I don't want it to change much and SSL's on the rears. Slightly lower and still have a light rake to it.
  9. Re: Lowering a G6ET, just a little Well, just to update this thread, I have done a bit more homework, and am amzed at the differing prices that I have been given. I have gone round and asked that I would like the car lowered around 15mm. This is the recommendations and quotes that I have recieved. Company 1 - For their own brand of springs, quoted me $900 drive in drive out with wheel alignment for 4 springs, that would drop around 35 - 40mm. They then tried to upsell me to a full set of their own coil overs for $2,600 !! Company 2 - $595 drive in drive out with wheel alignment for 4 Kings springs, aiming at around 20mm to 22mm drop. Not sure if they are SL's all round, or SL up front and SSL in the rear. Company 3 - $800 and something for front and rear King springs with wheel alignment, drive in drive out. He didn't write down the quote, as he changed it to quoting for the rear springs only in the end. So it was $547.73 for SSL's rear springs (front stays at stock) but he included "BA Rear Bump Stops" in the price. Note, labour was $150 and wheel alignment front and rear was $110. Company 4 - SUPPLY ONLY - King Springs - Front SL's and Rear SSL's. $270 shipped to my door. I then need someone to fit and do a wheel alignment. So the price difference is massive. If I go along with lowering the car, as I'm still not sure, I will go with the supply only - Company 4, and have them fitted here and get a wheel alignment. Still cannot believe the price difference. Even if I get them supplied from Sydney, and paid $150 for fitting and $110 for a wheel alignment, I'm still better of by $65 !!
  10. Pedders have quoted me $2,600 for their coil overs, fitted !!!! And if I went just springs, $900 fitted with wheel alignment!! What are they smoking? And with the springs, 35 to 40mm drop in height. I'm just chasing 15mm, as I don't want it scraping everywhere. Another place quoted me $595 for Kings, SL's I think, fitted with wheel alignment. Drop of around 20mm then plus settling /sagging of 5 to 10mm. Will be going to another place this week to get another price. If it is too hard, then I'll just leave it as standard and not worry about it.
  11. Thanks Tradey. If I change the dash, I'd want an F6 one, with oil pressure and boost gauges.
