I installed my turbo timer exactly liek you did, but my turbo timer jsut shut off when the car shuts off, I think its a turbo timer issue not a wiring issue , the turbo timer is a hks type 0 copy..

the turbo noise I can confirm is the turbo it self, me having this issue also but my turbo whine as you are saying was REALLY REALLY loud as you can see in my thread I created a week ago, that's what I found, I did replace my core witha 2nd hand one and it fixed the issue now I can hear alot of induction noise as before I did not and all it did was whine so loudly :D, my car has alot of KM on it so its pretty understandable, not sure if the turbo bearings wear out quickly or what but the noise you have, ive heard on alot of xr6 turbos cars especially with high KMS

ok guys, so its not the alternator.. did change the turbo core and that was the problem

I have a NA xr6 sedan also and I get no whine from the engine bay at all, just when im listening through the FM transmitter but its not really a issue, but in the xr6 turbo its loud from the engine bay and in the cab when the FM transmitter is on or off

yea man , first thing I did, I will take the serpentine belt off tomorrow and let it idle and see if the noise is still there this does make alot of sense I do think it is alternator also..

hey guys, just recently got a fg xr6 turbo, and it is making the funniest noise on acceleration, soon as you start to accelerate the cop siren noise starts and stops as soon as you let off the throttle, and itgets really loud, it also does on when free reving in neutral but not loud, there is NO performance issues at all it drives great so far, boost is fine and everything, just the loud cop siren noise through the whole rev range is there and I have searched everywhere for answers and I cant even figure it out, im thinking mabey the alternator or a pulley or 2..
