  1. Yeh, I sort of figured that Pazzo as the Vertini's I've got on there now are a +20 on the front and no rubbing issues at all with a 245/32/19. The reason I'm concerned about the rears is that I want to run a 275 or 285/30/20 because the 295/30/19's on the rear atm are fine and I have room to move and that's with a +35 offset. Just don't want to spend the coin and have rubbing issues but if I have to run a spacer on the front I won't be getting the TSW's.

  2. Hi Guys and Girls.

I'm keen on a couple of the TSW wheels in 20" staggered for my FG ute but what I'm wondering is if the 20 x 10.5's for the rear will fit ok as they only seem to come with a 25 offset in the 10.5's or you can get them in a 20 x 9 rear with a 30 offset also. The fronts have a 40 offset so I'm hoping they will be fine also. Any advice would be appreciated as I want to order a set!

Thanks very much......Worm or Henz????? lol

  3. Hi Rapid,

I'm about to buy an XForce 3" Mild Steel catback for my GTE, but after seeing your post, I'm concerned. Did you go M/S or S/S?

Sorry for the late reply mate. I went with a mild steel but yeh, I was very dissapointed as it was a nightmare to fit and it hit the tailshaft. It was also way too loud for day to day duties and I was told from the start to stick with a 2 1/2 inch system and I should have listened! The drone was shocking but I have to admit, it sounded great at higher revs but just too loud for my liking.

  4. Yep, I'm with Henz mate, get a sound clip up ASAP! I first tried an Xforce 3 inch system and to be honest, it was terrible....the drone between 1500-2500rpm was enough to want earplugs and it hit the tailshaft so needless to say, it got pulled off the next morning and sent back...thanks but no thanks! I ended up going for a hurricane 2 1/2 inch system and it is great, no drone at all and a good bark when getting stuck into it and I used the standard tips so it still retains the factory look. I was a dissapointed to say the least as I had an xforce system on my previous ute and it was great.....maybe I got a Friday built exhaust on the GS!

  5. G'day all, wanting to buy a second set of wheels for my FG ute. I like the look of these but I'm wondering if a 245/35/19 will go on a 19 x 9.5 rim without looking to stretched? Any advice on the best offsets for the front & rears would be appreciated. I will be running 295's on the rears, the same as what's on my Vertini's at the moment. post-49429-0-92050600-1359883861_thumb.j

    Cheers :)

  6. Yeh ratter, that's what I've found out.....only available in 20ltrs or 60ltrs and I can get it through my local Bursons or just get through my sister as she's an accountant at a Ford/FPV dealership so I've given her a 20ltr container to fill up for me! A fair bit cheaper too :)

  7. Yep, have to agree whole heartedly with Ratter & SteveR......save your money and buy the S/C GS/GT. So much potential from factory and it's an absolute gem of an engine. Head down to your dealer and get your hands on one before the last of the 'proper' FPV's are gone.

  8. OK, for those still interested in this thread I have done alot of ground work and found out from Ford directly that the Miami 315 & 335 engines do 100% come of the assembly line with the recommended 5W-20 Castrol Edge oil so there is no such thing as a special run in oil with these engines. Also, you can change your oil and filter whenever you choose to without any problems with your warranty as long as a genuine filter and the recommended oil is used. The reason Ford don't recommend or like doing this is to do with cost issues apparently (from the horses mouth) which is why the majority of service managers at dealerships will look at you a bit strange! I have also found that unless you purchase your oil direct from Ford it is only available in 20 or 60ltr drums with the 20ltr coming in at just under $360 so it certainley isn't cheap stuff and a 20ltr drum is only good for 2 changes as the engine holds 8.5ltrs. So for all of us wanting to do in between oil changes, it will have no effect on your warranty so if you want to dump the oil at 1000ks or 3000ks.....go for it. The oil can be a litle difficult to get as it was a joint colaboration between Ford & Castrol to develop it so they like to keep you going back to them for your services but you can get it.

I hope this helps some of you guys with your concerns regarding this subject.

    Cheers, Rapid :)

  9. Morning Lads, just wanted some honest opinions on these wheels? I'm thinking of getting a set for my ute in 20 x 8.5 & 20 x 10.post-49429-0-95370000-1359334747_thumb.j

And they would be going on this.........

Do you think there would be too much white??? These are available with custom offsets so Worm what do you reckon would be the perfect offset to go for if I decide to get them?
    Honest opinions appreciated! Cheers :)
