Mate get a NIZPRO OVERBOOST valve there a great setup . U set it to your boost level u want that's max boost and if it boost spikes the OVERBOOST valve releases the excess boost kinda like a bov. There a awesome bit of kit and good insurance against engine damage. Check the NIZPRO web page out , there on Facebook to man

Fg Xr6T Ute Manual 0-100 Times And 1/4Mile
Grovsta replied to tfc's topic in Drag and Circuit Racing
On me live wire did a 4.6 seconds to 100ks with me tool box over the back wheels for some more traction . Ma ute runnin 292rwkw on 15 psi and a 6 speed man -
Had exactly same leak and mine was the rear main seal
-
My FG ute is 282rwkw and had a slight shudder thru the driveline , just got under it and the first rubber behind the gearbox linked up to the tail shaft has a tear in it , the ute doesn't get a hiding and has bugger all k's on it , is there a uprated rubber available
-
hey this is my 09 fg turbo . mods thus far custom tune 282.5 rwkw ,ss inductions growler cai.and 20by 8 and 20by9.5 dark argents, with plenty more mods to come .

THE ATOMIC HARMONIC BALANCER IS A DIRECT REPLACEMENT PART , AND THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANY ISSUES WITH ENGINE DAMAGE WITH THIS PART , THERE ARE LOTS OF XR TURBO' S RUNNING THEM MOST OF THE QUICKER XR'S AROUND ARE USING THEM.
-
Dead right Mywpn . What you said about the resonance issues with the xrt motors is a major reason why so many nuts , bolts etc can work loose on our cars . Wear on the stock harmonic balancer is common especially if car is drivin high in the rev range often . The best replacement balancer I think is the atomic unit helps reduce engine resonance considerably ,looks sweet, billet aluminum , & lifetime warranty. There is a really good explanation on this on atomic's website.

On my livewire tuner has said stock times best 5.12 and with custom tune 282rwkw, 0 to 100 best 4.44seconds, hard as and lots of practice launches to get that in my manual , fine line between to much wheel spin and bogging it down .
-
Hey , has anyone used spacers on the rear to move the offset out a little . What max thickness is safe to go with is it safe to do at all?
-
Axel tramp it's a shocker mate feels like your diff and your whole rear end is going to break and fall apart . With me 18inch rims get none at all , but with my 20s it's really bad , have 282RWKW and around 800nm torque . Good shockers help with it a lot
-
Had my 09 fg turbo ute custom tune only and it made 282.9rwkw 840 nm of torque on 16psi ,Had tune done by Bullet Performance racing in Geelong . Was really stoked with such high torque from tune only ,would have made more but still only got the standard actuator.boost tapered back to 13 psi at high rpm . What psi actuator should I go to running 16 psi max mostly use 14psi tune for everyday driving. So next mods to come are actuator, injectors, fuel pump for starters. Awsome thread everyone
-
bad idea to lean em out to just save fuel ,fuels cheap compared to a blown motor
-
fg turb ute 81 litre tank approx 750/800 kms runnin 15psi with some hard traffic light drags. cant help but blow away all the ss commondores
-
hey . my fg xrt ute has custom tune only 15psi and a 17psi , nothing else done, goning to fit bigger injectors and fuel pump so what can I expect consumption to be like once pummp and injectors fitted. what psi actuator people running wit 15 to 17psi.lost fair amount of power on dyno tune cause didnt fit bigger actuator . still made 292.5 rwkw on 17psi wit boost dropin to 13psi at high revs made awsome torque 840nm.many more mods to come
-
hey everyone, now have a 09 fgxr turbo ute find the fuel consumption excellent for what our beasts are.on 15psi tune on a 90 km highway trip can go as low as 9.2/per 100k then not resetting the trip com all week around town it goes up to 12to 12.6 l/per /100kms max and that's with some hard drivin . got a 03 ba xrt sedan and stock uses about 13 to 14.5l/per 100kms. on 17psi the fg starts to get thirsty though.
