  1. Awesome at least you're in the Brisbane area, PM coming to you shortly
  2. I have similar thing, when I shift it to manual so it holds gears, when I give it a good hard squirt so it gets high up in the revs and maybe stay foot in it for a few seconds, when I release the throttle and the revs come back down it runs on 5 maybe 4 cylinders for around 5 seconds... I have had BC valve springs fitted so it can't be valve pump.... Or can it still?
  3. NZEFI in Chch know their stuff, I know it's a bit more than a couple of hours drive but they are worth it, Phil is the man!
  4. What did you gap them to?
  5. Where are you based bionic? I need to get my diff bushes done, and you seem to be the guy I need come see

  7. Yeah it is auto so the labouring at low speed does cause it to drone, but on another note it has droppped its droning down quite significantly with usage with the carbon starting to build up, it is the perfect note now, cant wait to get the front 4" dump & cat section, and get it tuned, just waiting for a few more parts to arrive
  8. Yeah I got a mild steel twin 2.5" cat back X-Force system
  9. All good thanks for the info
  10. Ok sounds like a no go on that kit, I think I might just do the pump swap, is the 044 an intank pump so it can just be swapped over like you do with the Walbro??
  11. Hi all, I'm looking at buying this Walbro pump & sender kit http://www.ebay.com....984.m1438.l2649 Can anyone tell me if these are a good idea or what?? I know Walbro fuel pumps are exellent on their own but this seems too cheap to be real.... Have I found a good deal or no?? Any insight to this would be wicked!!
  12. Its all good I found out the GSS342 is the newer better pump and that it was a typo on the eBay add, so all sorted..... Thanks for all the info lol
  13. After reading all info in this site about injectors I am still no closer to making a decision on 60lb or 80lb Deka's lol, I am in new to Brisbane and new to owning a XR6 turbo, but are pretty informed on the performance scene, as used to build drift cars in NZ, but coming over here is a whole new era of performance I am looking for around the 330-350kw as this car is my daily driver and dont want to kill the trans, but still want to have fun on the same token.... I am about to purchase a Walbro complete drop in kit, have done Growler CAI, cat back X-Force exhaust(turbo back to cat is sitting in my garage waiting to get fitted with what else is needing fitting before a tune) but as I am getting nearer to the final stages of my coal parts are getting harder to decide on lol, so with what I have done what injectors would you suggest?? any info what be helpful Thanks Gene
  14. After reading this thread, I looked on eBay to find a GSS294 pump, and found this complete Fuel pump assembly and it comes with the GSS294 Walbro pump already fitted, but as you read down further it says it has a GSS342 pump fitted.... Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-BA-BF-SEDAN-6-8-CYL-FUEL-PUMP-ASSEMBLY-FITTED-WALBRO-RACING-GSS294-/170762830774?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27c24203b6
  15. Thanks again for all your guidence, this forum is my bible when it comes to any mods on my car, I think I will do the same and buy one from Panel house as they seam to be the only local supplier here in Brizzy, I think I will get one in the next week or 2, where is a good place to get them painted on the North side if possible ??
  16. Sorry I'm in Brisbane, but I see you have it sorted now
  17. Thanks for that, yeah I wont be fitting the front part of the exhaust until I fit the fuel pump, injectors and ECU and book it for a tune, that's all is needed now, im hoping to get around the 300-330kw margin
  18. Hi all, I have just brought and fitted Mild steel cat back X-Force system, the sound difference is awesome, it has such a deep sound and is exactly what I was wanting but as I am a family man I find it is quite droney, and what I want to know is... will it quiten down and less'n the drone with a some k's done as it carbons up? also as I have also just ordered the rest of the Mild steel system including the 4" dumb pipe, high flow cat etc and will adding this increase the drone and make it louder? I look forward to some feed back P.S this site is the best thing since sliced bread as you all have had some sort of encourgement/guidence to all my upgrades so far, everytime I want to do a upgrade I come to this site check what has been done and looked out what not to do... so you are my XR6 Turbo Bible if you will
  19. Thanks for your feedback I have a direction to head in now
  20. Thanks for the feed back, I did have a small idea the wog cooler was not gonna cool as efficient as a proper cooler that size would, we all know they are chinese and most chinese copies are sh*te, but I thought it was only $200 and it was twice the size of the OE cooler so thought I can't really lose too much but thanks for the heads up on it though, I am eyeing up a decent cooler upgrade... maybe a plazman or the likes, Thanks for the sizing of the silicon joiner also, I will start looking for a 76-80mm silicon joiner asap
  21. I brought myself a XR6 Turbo 5 weeks ago, and have been doing upgrades every chance I get away from work, so far I have done the Growler CAI, and a wog cooler(for now) and are in the market for a good exhaust at the moment but the reason I post this thread is to find out if anyone has upgraded or replaced the rubber joiners that join the alloy chamber that sits over top of the engine with "Intercooled Turbo" written on it to the throttle body and the plastic turbo intake pipe going to the turbo....? I had fitted the larger FMIC and Growler intake and intially the car went a little better(not as much as I was expecting) but none the less I thought it was just the exhaust and standard ECU still holding the power of the beast at bay, but as I did a service on the car in the weekend I pulled the top alloy champer off to replace the spark plugs and found the rubber joiner that is on the throttle body was 30% gone! and man when I seen this I was so releaved to find this as this explained why my car had felt like it had lost power even though fitting those bolt on upgrades... but back on topic I need to replace all of the joiners just for pure satisfaction its not gonna happen again a few months down the track as I do drive it like I stole it, lets face it I am a drifter and buying the XR6 Turbo was one of the first things I had to do when I moved here to OZ they are great car with great power!, so does anyone know if there is a silicon option to replace these or does everyone just replace them with genuine Ford parts which are $55 each, if there is a silicon option can anyone tell me please and the size that is required, as I am 1000km away from my car for work I can't just remove and take down to the nearest Repco or Autobarn to match up to a universal silcon joiner.... any info is most appreciated
  22. Hell! I'm doing this tomorrow... I have only just brought the car but I'm keen to do anything to make my car go better, and I am a mechanic, and I hate working on my own cars, but spending a whopping 10 minutes for a performance upgrade.... I'll do it!!
