  1. It could have 2 do with your muffles or cat have u looked into that side of things, what power and boost are u running?
  2. Glad 2 hear it wasn't that big of a issue m8, but def need some new coils lol Don't worry the bug will bite soon, and it will just b a money pit, but a fun one.
  3. Did u buy the car private or dealer?
  4. M8 do a service on it plugs, coils, etc , but sounds like to me TPS, or valve springs. But hopeful it mite b plugs or coils.
  5. U can't test the springs till their out but from what your saying it sounds like that's the problem, if your running 10 to 15 psi and the spring haven't been done that's more then likely it.
  6. Hi m8, ruff idle = valve springs u can try changing plugs, coils, TPS or cleaning throttle body, but its more then likely the springs. As 4 the turbo clean all the pipes and intercooler out, if theirs normal shaft play l wouldn't worry about it till it really lets go.
  7. Glad to hear all is well mate, sucks that they stuck you for that much for the injectors but in all honesty the Bosch are 10x better than the Siemens...considering it's only a BA and it's got a BA bottom end, the most you really want to push is 320-330rwk anyway.
  8. Someone who puts an unnecessary markup on a product that can quite easily be accessed elsewhere for a much more reasonable price is a rip-off merchant. Their families are not my problem. I have absolutely no reason to throw away my money. Your comment actually has no purpose whatsoever other than to defend people who effectively trick you into thinking they deserve your hard earned cash, but hey, if that's your thing then the only one who loses is you. And to the original poster, just because you don't want to spend 3x more than you should be paying for a product, it doesn't necessarily mean you are 'cutting corners'. There are cost effective ways of modifying your car, you just have to get past all the 'the more something costs, the better it is' mentality. Here's the link to a dual pump surge tank that won't cost you an arm and a leg: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/330811923962?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_2361wt_1117 Good luck.
  9. U can try the Bosch 725 or 1000 same as ID's with out the price hike and no shiny bits.
  10. Wow, that is profound. Thankyou for your great insight. I'm such a sucker, all this time I've been saving myself money when I should have been throwing it at rip-off merchants all along. I fail to see how any of this is relevant to the original question though...do you have any advice for the original poster about surge tanks?
  11. I'm not bagging people who are only in it for profit, I'm saying why would I give other people profit when I could be saving my own money, thus keeping the profit for myself? Again, you're not making any clear point here...
  12. Exactly. So why would I give my profit to someone else? I don't know what point you're trying to make...
  13. I understand what you mean about convenience, and I do understand that you get what you pay for, but not everyone in the world can dedicate their entire salary to their vehicles...lots of people have other sh*t to pay for, trust me I would love to spend all my money on my car all the time but I have other responsibilities...I'm just trying to get the point across that there are cheaper options and if you get a kick out of doing stuff to your car yourself then it's nice to have less expensive alternatives that do the job just as well. If I had all the money in the world I would use companies like KPM and Process West all the time but I can still get a surge tank and install it for $600, plus I get the satisfaction of knowing that I've done it myself...each to their own but it's nice to know there are alternative ways of doing things without having to fork out stupid amounts of money to people who are only in it for profit...
  14. So even if it did cost u $1000 (which l highly doubt it would), you would still buy a PW, KPM, or Plaz for $1000 -$1200 before you've even payed to have it installed...honestly, it shouldn't really cost that much. The amount of money that some of these guys are charging to install a surge tank is just a rip off...don't get me wrong, I'm sure they make an excellent product (and I know they do because I use them), but there are cheaper options that will work just as well if not better, and you'll have money left in your pocket for other things...like fuel lol
  15. Depending on what power u are after maybe not, the one I was looking at was a 2lt undercarriage tank, and it wouldn't b that hard to install, f*ck just pay your tuner 2 do it and u will still walk out with money in your pocket. Better paying $600 then $1000 for somthing not even installed
  16. Their's a guy on EBay who makes single and dual pump surge tanks for only $150 and they look very well made, pumps aren't included, but u will pick them up for about $160 180 each, better then paying $1000 to 1200 for the same setup.
  17. I never said I wasn't going 2 m8.
  18. My car has the same issue, I think it's 2 do with the fuel check valve u can install one. I am putting in a surge which should fix the problem I have, ( l have a sedan) depending on the power your making it should not matter 2 much in a ute they dont have as much surge issue as sedans do. Ask your tuner about the check valve issue and make sure they are real 968 injecters, mite b a issue with the spray patterns the fake ones have, how does it idle?
  19. So I can just install one in the fuel line, l am putting in a surge with a 044 would that stop this from happening ?
  20. Not that old cant hert 2 put in a new one. What do u mean by windings again?
