I've tried doing a search on this on the forum already, but its been a bit difficult because I'm still new to these cars, and am not quite sure what I should be searching. Anyway, every now and then when I start my car, before I even get a chance to take the handbreak off it backfires, and stalls. When I start it again its fine, though occasionally the speedo (only the speedo - not he tacho or anything else in the cluster) stops working, and wont work again until I turn the car off and back on again. Its a BF mkII XR6T with the 6sp manual. Would love to know whats causing this as its pissing me off. The car is due for a service, but I've been having a lot of trouble finding a mechanic who I can trust (epic issues with my last car). Thanks in advance!

I just keep winning stuff. Won a hot lap in a V8 supercar last month, 3rd in the footy tipping.... things just keep going my way.

yeh, was suprised when I got that. Its usually cheap beer and wine that's given as gifts. Was looking for a box to put it all in so that I could get it home, and then it was announced that I'd won an 80L esky that one of our suppliers had given us. Now I just have to work out how to fit it in the car...

I've been trying to get all my stuff at work finished before I go on leave, but the fact that the office ceiling & all the partitions are covered in fairy lights has made it hard to concentrate. Plus all the booze sitting on my desk keeps staring at me.

Nah, Wednesday nights with the mini club. The owner of that car used to go there all the time though. I love the food there.

Well we planned on having it Sunday just gone, but barely anyone could make it, so we moved it to jan instead.

Isn't this an Xmas cruise in jan? Haha

Now that I think about it, I can kind of do both. Think I'll meet up with you all at mentone, then head out to lunch from there.
