Can be a match and not have the same blood type. It's really odd that way.

It's not based on blood type, otherwise I would have been able to donate. They're looking at the bone marrow donor register now

Got the results back today for the blood test I had a month ago - I'm not a bone marrow match with Jamie, and neither is nikki, our other sister. However nikki and I are a match for each other. Jamie has always been the odd one out it seems. (L-R) Nikki, Jamie, Me.

Whats pissing me off is the mystery of the missing email. I emailed a spreadsheet to the marketing manager this morning, as I needed him to send it to stores. He replied to it straight away saying he was going to do it this arvo. Just before he came up to me and asked me to re-email it, as he couldn't find it. Said he'd had it flagged, and hadn't filed it yet. I went back into my sent items to re-send it - and it was gone. **cue twightlight zone music**

Pazz couldn't donate either, cause of the meds he's on for his ulcers. I couldn't remember my blood type, cause I was told what it was 8 years ago, but they were able to confirm it for me from the system. A+, cause I'm awesome (and the same as my sister!!!) Next time I donate I'm heading to geelong.

So pissed off right now. Had my blood donation appointment today. Everything was going fine until the woman who was putting the needle in fuxking screwed it up, and hit a nerve. She didn't realize until 35ml had been taken, and the flow rate dropped to zero. Cause they had already taken 35ml they couldn't start again on another vein, and then I was told that despite all this, I still have to wait 4 months til I can try again. Can't even do platelets or plasma, because I haven't done a whole blood donation in the past year. So pissed off right now. Plus my arm is hurting so much. All the times that I used to donate in geelong, and this never happened. Stupid werribee.

I train at the gym with Pazz every Sunday. Makes polefit on Monday more difficult.

It is frightening. Its hard too, because she doesnt look sick, and says she doesnt feel sick. In fact the only reason that she looks any different to normal is because of the fluid retention caused by the steroids they've put her on. She keeps insisting shes fine to go to work and the gym - but shes not.

is that cause you went to thailand? :(

yeh. That low number occurred 2 days after a transfusion. its all just dying. her bone marrow is dying, so her body is unable to produce any red cells, white cells, or platelets. the meds shes on are designed to jump start her bone marrow, but we wont know if its working for at least 3 months. Until then, shes getting blood and platelet transfusions 2-3 times a week. If its not, its a bone marrow transfusion. Hence my blood test. I hope im a match if she needs it. Blood test is out of the way, so I've booked pazz and I into donate tuesday next week Jamie had a platelet test the other day - she was back down to 2 platelets. its meant to be between 120-400.

I've been waiting since march last year for a bridge to open up that would cut my travel time in half. It opened last week. The office moves this week though, so it's no longer a benefit :(

And he hadn't even had anything drink Pazz doesn't understand, but he did spoil me enough. Can't imagine the lengths he would have gone to had he had free reign.
