Most people go with 2.5" hot side and 3" cold side as that's what most of the top brands best intercooler kits supply (process west, plazmaman)

Results from new Process West stage 3... 457rwkw and they took out 1psi of boost! Only 16.5psi now

Doesn't HAVE to be done but at 400+ it'll be dying sooner than later, some last weeks, some last a year. Especially on ethanol. Ask Joe what he reckons, he did mine. Mine lasted 2 weeks at 428 before 2-3 started slipping. But I was always getting it built anyway. Joe said mine didn't look too bad when they opened it up though so I might have just been a bit paranoid and impatient.

Yeah but that's sticking with the same cv and centre joint which can go with the extra power anyway, and cost you more than it would of cost just to get the built one to start with! (That's what I took out of it anyway) I like to over-engineer things haha

The expensive bit is the built box and shaft at 400! Probably allow 5k for box rebuild and 1.5 for tailshaft

I'd make the trip and see CMS in liverpool or Autotech in granville. I'm from the blue mountains and use CMS. If you're going to leave your pride and joy in the hands of someone else you want to be sure they are reputable and the best at what they do. Hundreds of the guys around Sydney will vouch for the two I mentioned above.

Must be a sonny leanord 727ci v8 they had lying around... +1 for reco'd. Don't think ford would replace anything engine/gbox related new unless car was a brand spanking new. I know they replaced my milkshaked zf at 9000km with a reco.

What do you stall up on, just front brakes or handbrake as well? Brembos? Does it start creeping before you launch?

I was in my 307rwkw tune last time at powerplay, beat heaps of jap crap and some big muscle. Just watch out for the ones with parachutes and drag tyres lol. 400rwkw xr6 will beat majority of street cars there I reckon. What did the gtr feel like??

Nah I didn't mean actual powerskid I just meant rolling ones while cruising. I know what you mean about unpredictable, man those revs jump fast in 2nd when it cracks loose.. gotta watch myself.. bumped the limiter once or twice.. don't wanna smash the oil pump gears!

Ahh ok that makes sense. Mine wont spin the 275s on 3rd roll on unless tyres are cold on cold night. 2nd will spin no matter what speed you plant it from. Won't often spin into 3rd at 90kph+, but that may be because still have the stock zf tune in to run in the built box. Will find out next week! You going to powercruise 10sec? How easy is it to roll on powerskid with the 245s without hitting limiter? Trying to decide if I should get a set of rims with 245 for the day to save my 275s

I did it last year on no built shaft! Just put some sh*t tyres on haha. It's bucket loads of fun even in a stocker tbh. Let us know if you wanna jump in with me at some point on the day
