Check the wastegate actuator arm, mine popped off once, just a circlip, same kinda thing boost guage would hit around 0 but feel no boost.

The ZF learns how you drive, so it will either drop to 1st coming to a stop or stay in second. The famous ZF lurch is pretty common, where it goes from 2-1 coming to a stop.
