Champion effort there exahsix, looks the goods, I will be looking at something like this soon as well (I need moer bass damnit). -

Nice guide exahsix, that's pretty much on the money, Wished I had this before I did mine (damn rear plugs are a bit%h to get out and I did scratch my tinting ) I replaced all my 5 x 7 with Rockford Fosgate Punch series speakers and the sub with the Rockford Fosgate Punch 1 sub. I must admit the sound is better and I can turn it up alot more without distorting but I fear I have lost some of the low volume bass ie I need to turn up louder to get same response. I am looking at putting an enclosure around the sub (as the rockford will work in a small enclosure 7.08 liters) and see if that helps but overall am I happy with the sound and if turned up a bit more the bass reproduction is better. Cheers

Hi Guys, Just the other day I noticed my left low beam light not working, so I thought damn the globe has blown However when I put high beams on the globe that was not working in low beam works in high beams and I cannot see any difference between the light intensity between right / left. WTF is going on . Note: I have checked fuses and they appear to be ok (even swapped them and it made no difference) Have one of the elements in the globe blown (ie will need to be replaced) or is this going to be Ford's problem come wednesday!!! thanks

Hi all, just thought I would share my 30,000 Km service experience with all, just because I love ford servicing so very much Took my belovered in for its 30,000 km massage yesterday. Firstly: before I even took it in I thought I would call around as I live within 15km from about 7 differenent dealerships, The prices ranged from $220 - $420 what a joke, so to all that live near a few dealerships call around. And some had the nerve to say it costs X amount because the exhaust manifold bolts need adjusting, hello ford it says you must do this in the service book, why are you telling me this . Secondly: I had a few warrenty issues to be looked at: Handbrake loose and scraping Windscreen washer jet not working Poor idle and stalling (about 2 - 4 times every trip) Took the car in, guy says no worries to all of the above, will call when done approx 3pm. 3pm comes no call, 4 still no call 4:30 still no call, so I call and there say its just on a road test will be available for pickup in 15 mins (what a load of crap, there forgot or didn't want to call me ). I get there in 15mins and the car is in the car park, I touch the bonnet and to my surprise it colder that a block of ice (ie was ready more than just a few minutes ago ) Sit down with guy get my invoice, lucky I was not charged for handbrake adjustment or there would have been world war 3 . Was told all issues fixed and good to go (costs was $245). I jump in the car and notice my boost gauge is not sitting at its usually spot when off, I take no more notice and start the car, still boost gauge has not moved thought that was weird and drove off, the whole trip even when giving it WOT the boost gauge does not move starting to think boost gauge is stuffed (ie it lights up and the startup sequenece is normal it just does move once startup sequenece complete, my oil temp is still working but). While on trip home I notice when coming to a stop I put the car in neurtal the revs don't go down to 700 - 1000rmp instead it goes up to 2000rpm, once stopped then it goes down to 700rmp (guess it will not stall now ). Me thinking the new flash they put in is still working its way in. I get home and thanks to all you guys experinces I decide to check under the bonnet, to my surprise (NOT) I found a tool in the engine bay and two lines not plugged in (can see one of these in the attachment) as usual ford servicing at there very best Once I plugged the two lines in (one was at the back of the BOV) boost guage now working and no move 2000rmp when coming to a stop. Also it appears so far the warrenty issues have been fixed. Sorry for the long post, just thought this may be of interest to people getting serviced, if that's what you call it.

Bad news on this front champ, I have been down this road before (also raised a thread here to no success) and have got nowhere with FORD at ALL :banghead:. They keep telling me the brake shims are of bad design and the clips used to hold the brake pads in place, keep loosing up causing the rattle when going over a bump. I have heard this noise on some falcons but not all. I have learned to live with it. the only options I can see are to change brakes :cussing: (ie premium from ford, more bloody money)

Well I finally got some time to install the xbox in the boot today :rl: with help from ShockF6, What can I say AWESOME :rl: and if you have an xbox and don't run XBMC you are Mad I got all the cables, audio filter and power inverter from ShockF6, the build quality was excellent, timing quick and it works flawlessly. Other than a few issues (cig light fuse had blown, and the video plug was hard to get in until I got a screw driver to open it up a bit) install would have taken about 6 hours (not for the faint of heart). Although I would have spend about 20 hours in total in prepartion for the install, setting up the xbox and making a button holder for the xbox to switch between ford and xbox on the ICC as well as enable AUX audio. I also made an external switch to turn the xbox on from the front of the car (guide can be found at http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/externa...ower-switch.php and more xbox guides at http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox-tutorials.php). I mounted the xbox and power inverted in the boot via velco (the carpet in the back is perfect for the velco to hold to, if not too well ) I also got some logitech precision wireless controler and it works great no interference at all . If you are interested at an Xbox install in the boot (which doubles as DVD player, MP3 player, Cool visualisations, games player, video clip player ...) I highly suggest you send ShockF6 a pm, he comes highly recommend and was very helpful when I was in some sticky situations. Also his audio filter does the trick perfectly as I had bad alternator interference and now its crystal clear. Thanks again ShockF6
