Well the dealerships must be desperate. I had a call from the guys where I bought the car from and they went on about how they only got two cars allocated to them One is the xr8 and the xr6 sprint. I told him that I would trade mine in if they gave me the nitro in a manual. He went through the build list on the page only to get to the end and find out there is no manual( I laughed quietly as he was going through the build list.) Once he got to the end and realized there was no manual, I asked him how much the car was. He gave me this huge spiel about how only 500 are being made and how it is an end of the era and sh*t. I said to me that I need to know the price so as to not waste any more time. 63K??? like wtf!!! I almost fell of my chair. I told him to forget about it. I ain't paying that much as it was 11k over my budget. As mentioned elsewhere the figures provided for the xr8 and xr6 turbo are on ron95. What would those figures be when on Ron98?

Are you Ralph Wiggum in disguise? Cool so by changing my dump to a 4" dump and then using the FGX XR8 exhaust from the cat back, should net me some decent airflow then. I am seriously considering learning how to tune now.

I got an email from ford in regards to the new sprint and xr6 turbo. right at the bottom of the email in small writing, it suggest that the figures were tested using ron95 for both cars... Like wtf? seriously? what figures will the car get if ron 98 is used.

Don't worry Steve, that seems to be common place now. My parents place had the same thing. Once handover was done, guess what happened. The jigsaw came out and off it went. still looks sh*t, but at least no one will get hurt. I honestly don't know why they did it. I just reckon that they are hiding something that they did not want to finish off. Bunch of assholes, that is what they are. they wanted to charge my parents for a variation when they asked them to get rid of it. what cheek I tell you. I would have told them what to do with variation.

so besides changing the dump pipe and the cat, everything else in the exhaust is standard? I am in the same boat as Peter, that the stock exhaust was a restriction. I have the venom cat in my car, but still have the stock dump and cat back. Which northern suburbs are you in? anywhere near Beechboro/Malaga?

I use to have an HTC and hated how the launcher kept hanging all the time. I then went with an S5(work phone) and that was okay for a while, but kept cracking the sh*ts as well cause of telstra bloatware. I have since been using a one plus one which I got a half the price of a Samsung or iPhone. I have CM on there and it works the way I want it. the only on going issue is that Chrome chucks a wobble every so often when using facesucks..... Android has come a long way in the last few years. I would suggest that you try and get your hands on an S5/S6 which is on demo and have a play with the menus and stuff. I have a work phone and a personal phone. I am constantly having my phone work fine with the Bluetooth in my car and cracking the sh*ts with my vivosmart. I then run the CM updates which can be done on a daily basis(which I don't bother with). after the update, the bluetooth in the car plays up and the vivosmart works well. Can't have the best of both worlds when using custom roms.

Fark my helmet has heaps of scratches on there. it even went through two accidents and is still fine cause I did not bump it during the falls. Scratches are cosmetic due to rubbing helmet on walls n sh*t. I am driving a car and can't understand why they are being anal. If I was driving a bike, I kinda understand the the styrofoam goes off. But f*ck me, I bought this shoe at top dollar, used it for a year and a tad and I BELIEVE that it is still fine. f*ck I am a scrooge and hate spending money. anyone want a helmet for $50 second hand???

f*ck me, look at the antenna placement. Putting the ford focus antennas there is ridiculous. It makes it look like sh*t. I am sure that they placed it there to try and make it look like a beamer with the sharkfin. :( The dark blue has my attention.

My helmet is AS 1698. I contacted Motorplex and they said that they would not allow it. I can't be bothered going out and spending money on a new helmet, only to go and make one/two passes at the plex. looks like I am not going down to the plex after all. :( When I said at Phill's place, I meant Phillmeup and not Boganspeeds house. This way the car does not need to be towed anywhere. But we can always go back to Boganspeed's house again

I think that a maintenance day in WA is way overdue. I think we should have a maintenance day soon at Phill's House and we all work on one car only. We work on Phill's car to get it back to stock??? You okay with that Phill? Free labour!!!

Beam Rustproofing

Mine is starting to look like that as well. Why is it that some cars are okay and other are not. My car is only 4 years old and I got the tint done once I bought the car. I hate the fact that I am going to have to get it done and payout for it, when I think this is something that should be covered under warranty or some implied warranty. To me it seems like someone has not done their job right.... :(

I am no pro, so don't take this as gospel. If you got no fluid coming through at the rear, then would it not be easier to have a look at the front of the car where the ABS unit is, to see if he has crimped the lines? That is assuming that the AU has the ABS unit? Normally brake fluid goes from the master cylinder to the ABS and then from the ABS to the callipers. If you got no fluid at the rear before the split, then it is possible that he has blocked the line before that point? In all seriousness, this is brakes we are talking about. it is used to stop the car. I know that only the back brakes are not working, but if you damage something else and the brakes fail...... You are in a world of hurt. I think you are better of letting the mechanic looking at the issue for you.

I better check my helmet at home first to see if it conforms. I am sure that I have AS/NZS 1698, I will find out tonight. thanks for the links though.

I am hoping to make it out next week Wednesday. The minister of war and finance has given me the go ahead. However I am finding it difficult to source myself a helmet. This is starting to sh*t me to no ends. I have even been practicing my launch assists..... I take it you won't be making it with the ute especially with the issues with the exhaust right?

Sweet mate. didn't realize you had a thread already. I envy you in the fact that you have taken on the project by the balls. If I was so much as to try and do something like this in my garage, I think I would get divorced far more quicker than finishing the car off. lol. Hopefully someone with the know how will tune in soon and answer your original question, because I do not have the know how.
