I have the aeroflow short shifter and you feel and hear everything from the Gearbox now, especially with the new clutch. With the stock cluck it didn't feel as bad, but still with the stock gear stick you had that solid feel and no noise, due to the black rubber separating the gear lever from the block that bolts to the shifter. That block of rubber is solid and it is the reason why you don't hear or feel anything from the gearbox. You can actually see the rubber in this picture, even though it is painted. It is where the lever meets the solid block on the left side of the picture. The fact that it is painted is what makes that block look like it is one solid piece. I have been trying to replicate that feel for a few years now with different stuff, with no success.

Did you guys install the ECU that came with the new engine, or did you use the old one that was in the car?

are you serious. it only cost 4k? I would have guessed that they would be around 10k for supply and fitting.

sweeet. Quick question. in the first photo there is a black plate on top of the rocker cover. What is that plate and where does it go? BTW that engine bay needs a wash.

Yep, exactly as Jet has said. the so called noise they make when it is a hot day is what I am getting all the time. It has been getting louder and louder. The issue is that this is my daily driver and I am not sure I want to wait for the 044 to fail. Do keep in mind that I do have one of the old Process west surge tanks, where the pump is on the outside. I take it that it might not be worth my while to get the newer surge tanks?

3 weeks ago, got all four corners with new Shoes. RE003 on every corner again. I just can't go with any other tire. Since the tire replacement, the the 044 has been getting noisier and noisier by the day. I am pretty sure that the 044 that came with the process west surge tank is on the way out. So a decision needs to be made as to what needs to be done. I have had a suggestion that the process west surge tank be taken out and a 460 be put into the petrol tank. Another suggestion was to get the newer surge tank from process west with the 460s inside the tank. Just not sure which way to go on this. Suggestions??

sorry been sick this whole week. on an off of the pc. I have windows 10 and thanks for the link. None of those helped. It is the "Microsoft Malware protection service" that is causing me grief, I think. When booting up the pc, the cpu is at like 100%, and when I check what is running, there are no process using more than 9%, but there are quite a few services in the list. I think it might be time to re-install windows 10.

so lately when playing games, I have noticed that my CPU is at 100% all the time. a couple of months ago, this was not the case. Has anyone else experienced this? I have an intel I5 4670K and I never use to have any issues. I am suspecting the either windows is doing this on purpose to force me to get a new CPU OR my cpu is dying. Temps have been in the 50s since watercooling the rig. I know that these temps are not to be worried about, but still for a water cooled rig, I was expecting it to be in the 40ies at least.

She was taking up both lanes and was wondering why I was hooting at her and giving her the finger. FFS you should be able to arrest these kunts or at least fine them 500 clams and take the money there and then.

it could be that the gear stick is loose under the boot cover. Check the bolts that hold the gear lever to the shifter. Lever removed: I changed my gear lever from the stock one to a Hurst lever and I get to hear all the wonderful noises that the manual gearbox makes. Hurst lever installed

There are a whole bunch of cheap ELM327 units on the market and on Ebay. Just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. none of those cheap ones turn off when the car turns off. Some state that they do and actually don't There are quite a few members on this forum that have the cheap ones and swear by them. I bought the OBDLink MX back in the day when they were $200 clams. Still working till this day. Just keep in mind that if your car is tuned and your tuners uses an Xcal 4 and locks the tune, you won't be able to use Forscan. you will be able to use the Torque app on your "android" phone. I am not sure about the Torque app support on iPhone.
