  1. I believe that if you hold the power button for something like 10 or 15 seconds, it forces a hard power cycle.

Check the bolts on your turbo. Loose bolt normally means cracked turbo........
  3. Fark me, now it has nothing quoted when I wanted to take screenshots. When I click the reply area, there are random quotes of other members waiting for me. Now there ain't anything. Next time screenshot time.
  4. No I am not quoting Ralph. That was me typing in there. Only does it on my android phone. Nope I am not using Tapatalk. This is all done in chrome. Cache cleared out. Seems to be saved on the forum for this three. Kokentoe, when you get your car tuned, tell the TUNA that you want the boost to come on slowly and not all at once. Better tires do help too. Lately I been wanting to race other cars, but have not had the opportunity. Then I find out the rear housing is cracked and all the porsches, GTS and camaro's come out of hiding and I can't do sh*t. That pissed me off.....
  5. Hahahaha, I have always made an effort to go out on a saturday or sunday. We seem to have lost a few along the way, that's for sure. Ninka still around? I remember 3/4 years ago, we had a cruise from Forrest field up to the hills and around, which was led by stever and we had Holdens, Nissan and a territory turbo there too. That was an awesome cruise. We had 18 cars that night. My most memorable night was chasing bogan speed around the F1 circuit. I wouldn't mind doing it again especially with the shockworks now. Next weekend is out of the question for me as I am off to Melbourne for work purposes. Will be there till Wednesday.
  6. Fark me. Seriously. Everyone is piking out? I wanted to go buy on this one, but the misses normally works friday graveyard shift at the hospital. She is sick today and I doubt she will go to work. This means that I could possibly make this cruise. What's happened to this place? We use to have close to 14-16 cars on any given cruise. Now we can barely get 5. I might just sign up on the Expensive Daewoo forum and attend more cruises with them, even with a cracked housing.
  7. thanks for the update. Watching the thread for the next few weeks with anticipation.
  8. I added in a custom PID to Torque. On the main dash screen at the bottom left, there is a gear. Click on that and then choose settings. Scroll down to Manage extra PPIDs/Sensors choose the menu option to ADD Custom PID Then fill in the details as per this. OBD2 PID Editor OBD2 Mode and PID 221310 Long Name(used in menus) Engine oil temp Short Name EOT Min Value 0.0 Max Value 300.0 Scale Factor x1 Unit Type Degree(symbol) C Equation (((A*256)+B)/100)-40 OBD header to use Auto PS. MAttyP did that work for you?
  9. Want the formula? K31th, that is correct. The formula I have is not garanteed to be correct, but I believe it is close enough. there is a thread on here somewhere which has the formula in any case MattyP
  10. nah mate, no split inter cooler pipe. Turbo is on Crack. Yes that is using Torque PRO(paid version). I have this bastard which I paid $200 for and it is half the price now. I suggest you order this one because it turns off when the car turns off and does not drain the battery. https://www.scantool.net/obdlink-mxbt/ f*ck me, it is even cheaper now. Maybe I should order another one for the Mrs' car.
  11. hahaha, the car never goes past 5500. I keep it as far away from that as possible. There has been 1 or 2 times where it may have reached 6000, but that was by accident. No limiter bashing either. Top left graph might steer you in the right direction.
  12. Can you spot the problem? This was early in the morning and 15 degrees outside. No it has nothing to do with the coolant temp either. Fark this is pissing me off soo much.
  13. I should have come over then...... could have walked.
  14. But you need to get the wax off. why wait 500km to get all that slippery stuff off, when you could do it in minutes??? I am disappointed.
  15. f*ck ME, I haven't LOLed this hard in a long time. Thanks for that one Steve. that guys does have fast reflexes to catch it mid air though. The other guys reaction is what got the tears rolling tooo.
  16. fark Steve, thanks for the help........ NOT I think, next time, I'll just txt Luke to not disturb him on his sunday session. Unfortunately I found it difficult to get the lower bolt on cylinder 4 done to. one thing is for sure, I tightened those bolts to the Bf speck of 27nm................. none of them snapped off. I just couldn't figure out how the guys got the sockets in to tighten cylinder 3 and 2 on the lower side. The turbo is in the way. :( At least I no longer have the smell of exhaust fumes in the cabin. That was a big worry for me on friday. Thanks for the suggestions. I will keep it in mind.
  17. I know this wasn't done today, but it was done yesterday Mysteriously my car started to sound like a tractor on Friday. I have had the car running fine for 2 years and now mysteriously it started doing this................ Anyways, most of yesterday arvo was spent tightening the loose turbo bolt to see if that was the cause. Nope, that was not it. I then spoke to SteveR and got some info about Torque settings for the bolts on the exhaust manifold. Tightened the exhaust manifold bolts for cylinder 6,5 and 4. I know cylinder 6 was loose and I tightened her up but it still sounded like a freggin tractor which was a disappointment. Couldn't figure out/ or was being to lazy to get cylinder 3,2 and number 1 tightened up. I know number 1 is loose at the moment cause I can hear air leaking. will need to sort this out on the weekend. However the tractor sound was there because the bolts for the flange, that holds the dump pipe to the cat were loose as fark. I am sooo glad that I have the right tools for the job. I got the sidchrome socket set for my birthday a few years ago. That angled part that comes in the set, saved my life. the picture above is not my hand or the part I have. grabbed it off the net. I tightened those bolts on the flange and she don't sound like a freggin tractor. it was driving me bonkers........... I am smiling from ear to ear today. lets see how long before that turbo bolt comes loose again.
  18. Yesterday, you would have spotted me racing home. Today, I did not go by Guilford. I actually had to go to a site in malaga first and then head down to High Wycombe via tonkin, so not me. Honk ya horn next time you think you see me and I might salute ya back. then we know we saw each other. so hands up for those that want a cruise to RaceWars 2017 next year? Get a thread up and make plans for it........
  19. Are the bolts or housing made of stainless steel?
  20. This can be arranged if there is enough interest, especially for those that haven't do the performance day. once they have done the performance day, they can then do the tune day as well. Hands up people.... WPMO?? Loose bolt on turbo = cracked housing? got a quote to fix the issue with two different turbos and bill does not fit my budget........ How long can I drive the car like this ffs...... ;"(
  21. Can't make fridays. Have fun ladies.
  22. Well I haven't been online much lately, but I went to JB and showed them that I had only swapped the previous unit in February. They have stopped the Vivosmart and no longer have them on the shelves. I chose to upgrade to the Vivosmart HR free of Charge.
  23. but you need to scrub in those new tires so you don't get caught out in the wet and start to ski everywhere. Always do a skid on new tires to get the wax off...............
