  1. like I always say, there is a time and a place for everything. Also consider if there is any oncoming traffic to. If you loose it and stack it against an oncoming car, it is even worse. It is the younger folk that think they are invincible?
  2. I set cruise control on, slip the bonnet lever which in turn looks like the gtr with the bonnet flying of, I then climb out the window and adjust the suspension via the dial at the top of the struts. Simple really.
  3. What is the box on the right for? Ice box to cool intake?
  4. Yes we have had a few close calls, but we can only blame one person for mounting the kerb a few times. Nah not gonna point the finger either. I think we are more responsible cause we try and stay out of the city and we are a small group to. Easier to stay together. You just full of sh*t Peter, you just too superstitious about night cruises. I reckon you just blind as a bat at night and need glasses to see.
  5. Looking good. Are you going to keep the stock crossover pipping?
  6. I think this thread should stay somewhere for GHP to refer to at a latter stage. Maybe move it into the donating members area or something. There is the negative areas of this thread, but there is also alot of car pron. Please dont delete the thread.
  7. So k31th is having the same problems as phil has in regarss to the 5 gas emmission tests to get the car over the pits?
  8. Thanks to Dan once more for the shockworks. I still smile from ear to ear when going down the roundabouts in morley. The best bit about the shockworks, is that you can adjust the stiffness level on the fly. Went on a cruise and set the level to 6 clicks at the front and rears. The next time it rained and the rears were skidding, I had axele tramp. Why? Cause of the stiffness. Set it to 3 front and 4 rear the following day and haven't had axle tramp since.
  9. Yeah that is what I meant and the electrician that did my work many a years ago before regulations did 5cm. It has since changed with the new regulations and I am not going to pay for a new electrician to come out and fix it, unless you offering......
  10. Cat5 was free for me and I still have a box with about 200m worth of cable. Even future proofing, I still cant see what would use those speeds, even 4k resolution for tv, wouldnt use all of that. I do see your point in the cost difference being minimal, but cat6 is harder to work with when trying to bend it around corners. Yes I know you have to be carefull with breaking the wires when bending the cable. The hardest part of trying to get cat6 cable to bend was when you run it down the outside wall and try to get it into the hole that was drilled from the room into the cavity. That is why you should pay someone else to do the job.
  11. Freggin forum wont let me save my edit. Yes I can spell and know the difference between both, but this came to mind
  12. Why does everyone go cat6? If you run cat5/6 cable in the roof space and it comes anywhere near electrical cables, you have to have a perspex tube of at least 50mm to seperate them. This reduces interferance in any case. Will you ever use the full network speed of cat6? I doubt it unless you have business grade servers to support those speeds. The servers have to have storage fast enough to support cat6. I have gone cat5 for the house and it all goes to a coms rack in the garage in preparation for the nbn. That is right, my switch is in the garage. Heat in summr causes issues during the day, but I am never at home during business hours. Yeah the family is at home, but they wouldnt know how to make use of those transfer rates. At one stage when I did tranfer rates from my ubuntu server (raid6) to my pc, I got up to130MB a sec. The limitting factor was my pc's ssd. I reckon save coin by going cat5, unless you have a specific need for cat6
  13. Since someone is missing their xr6t. Well apparently the wa jap scene have a meet at lakeside joondalup. You could ride shotgun with SteveR Who is going?
  14. hehehehe. All good. I placed it there more for Kyle, cause his ute was on one of the first cruises I got out on. I will make some time later on to get them all on that page. I promise...............
  15. Fark me K31th, that stalled the computer for 5 mins while it downloaded. I can't believe that you linked all of that back to here. the least you could have done, was do it in this thread: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/89609-best-cruise-pics/
  16. Random photos in perth. Mostly cruises, but other stuff I see on the roads. http://imgur.com/a/nlVKf Can't be stuffed doing photo by photo. This is for the Perth boys only.
  17. I count 10 cars. Nitro and black cars seem to be the go. The other two cars still need to get a paint job done. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
  18. When my diff was whining and it was under warranty, I got the whole diff replaced. Took me like 3-5 times to complain to seaview ford, but when I got the service manager in, he knew what the problem was. Diff was replaced and has been fine since. However it is starting to develop that whine at about 57km/h again. It is not that bad, but it is starting again. There is a different diff oil in there from factory and I thought that would help. Guess not.
  19. so is it on yet or what? hurry the f*ck up would ya.
  20. GHP, is your message box full. Can't send no message.
  21. Speak to Phil. He has a set for Sale I think.
  22. the last time NVT was on the forum was in April. Not sure if he will be on any time soon.
  23. Thanks for the info. I put the red stuff on the back of mine and the ultimates squeal to no end when doing light brakings. Driving me bonkers lately. Ultimates still braking like a champ, but those light applications of the brakes in peak hour traffic................
  24. @JETURBO, what is the purpose of the copper multi purpose grease? Is this something that is placed on the rear of the pads to prevent squeal?
  25. have fun boys on Friday night.
