well, just a word of advise. Just recently someone in the extended family, went away for holidays. Since he works on the mine, he was not home for 5 weeks. They cleaned his house out completely and I mean completely including the nvr and switch and ups from the roof space. If they see cameras, they will look for the nvr in all the known locations. They then went into his roof space and found what they needed and unplugged it and a decent manner as I suspect they were going to use it at their home. Yes they took the cameras, but left the cabling there. They took his speed boat, his bike, his jetski, the trailer. you name it, they took it. Left him with an empty house. lucky he had insurance, but the hassle of having to go and buy all that stuff new, just ain't worth it.

@GeGe6 installed the shift light in his G6ET but I think he has since sold the car and I am not even sure if he still comes on the forum. the other guys that were part of the group buy, never mentioned if they installed theirs. I have been looking for the group buy section but it seems to have fallen of the face of the earth. @k31th ain't replying to my PM's either. Just out of curiosity, are you still thinking of getting the eclipse shift lights, now that you have those diagrams? Would they not help you hook up your gauge now? Or you still want the eclipse shift light? -
I got 5 mp cameras and have had them for a while. you will need dedicated switch for them and have a server that is capable of processing the feeds(CPU) and then recording it to fast enough hard drives. Don't forget you need a UPS for the Switch to support the cameras. You will also need a UPS for the server. Have fun putting that in the roof space in Perth's summer heat...... unless you have a dedicated room setup in the roof space with aircon.

Wap, fap, wlan, lan and san, ohh dont forget the nas too. Fark me Rab, get your sh*t together and make sure the fiber from the switch to the fap is less than 1m and the coaxial from the wap back to the router is shorter to reduce the ohmms. This should eventually enable you to connect the nbn at one stage once you get smart wiring in the house. Whats so smart about it, I dont know. Normally the rooouter is connected to the switch. The WAP is also connected to the switch. The switch should be located in a central lo ation. It is also preferable to have a si gle 16/24 port switch than having 3 or 4 of the 8 port switches daisey chained from one to another. It is even more fun to have a 24 port managed switch with POE for your IP security cameras. Yeah we can plan it better on friday night over acouple of beers/vodka.

Cool, well lucky you then. At least that means you have not been thrashing it.

@johnxr6t that is what I have been told, but I have mechanical sympathy and don't do that sh*t. I stay away from doing burnouts as I know it is gonna cost me money later on by replacing tires sooner. yes I give the car a few bursts of WOT on a daily basis, but I then drive the car like a nana until I get to my destination to give it time to cool down. Mine sounded like a tractor cause the flange bolts that hold the dump pipe to the cat were loose. I tightened them recently and that fixed the noise, but my boost would not go past factory boost preassure. This is the pressure that use to show up in the Torque app before getting a tune. This is what I recently saw on the car, which indicated to me that there was an issue. Anyways, I will find out later on today or tomorrow how the car is doing.

that is a good question. what causes the rear housing to crack as I have done it before even hitting 75000km. What really is busting my bubble is why the harmonic balancer had pitting/chattering??? Anyways that is getting replaced with something more decent. I now understand the timing chain and guides are a consumable and will need to be done every X amount of KM. It just sucks to know that I have been behaving myself and this sh*t happens. I think my new motto will be to drive it like it is stollen. time to waste rubber in one week and see how things goes. I will report back in one week.

We need to catch up at some stage, so I can test drive your car and see what this so called rev limiter bashing is all about.

I'm glad that I am not the only one to think like that. I think of it as a cop magnet.

Manual Only Ba-Fg, Xr6 Turbo ¼ Mile Times

Far out you are a hoon. Man I thought I had mechanical sympathy for my car, especially with the fact that I don't clutch kick at all. I don't believe in burnouts either. Tried it 2 times and that was the end of it as I was not the smallest bit emotionally excited. I may and try to drift every so often, but TC just reals me back in. I was under the impression that this car had an easy life, but I am wrong as the parts tell me other wise. After all the nana driving, I was not expecting to have issues with my harmonic balancer or the timing chain guides. -
I reckon the grill needs to be attacked with the dremel/opened a bit more for the FMIC to work properly.

ahh so it is a ford. did not recognise the lights.... didn't look like the ba/bf/fg lights. I haven't been around fords long enough... Sweet ride.

Far out Steve, at least your list is at 300k km. I just hit 76k km and I had three things to add to my list today. The minister of war and finance is now officially on a war path. :(

shopping list is growing.

I have tried that as well. I think it happens more to my car, when you give it wot and then slowly use the gear down shifts as engine braking.

yep, I know what you mean. Needs to be done.

I saw you post that recently, but I don't normally do that. That is the confusing but. I also try and keep the max revs under 6k. If I have ever been over 6k rpm, it was because I was not paying attention. ahh well, you live and learn.

Luke, I laughed cause some people have not been paying attention. It definately isn't a secret, but Matty sure took the bait. More pics will ensue once the car has been returned come Wednesday. The burnt orange colour is due to all the flames coming out the exhaust.

I have asked for pics and I will also be getting all my parts back to. I have not received pics of guide yet. Will find out sooner or later. The first round of mods saw me miss out that the original factory CAT was not returned. I only noticed this recently when going through my box of old parts. Asked for a cat back and none available. :( The turbo going in is:
