  1. Well I have been using the frequency app and it is all over the place. It varies from 30hz all the way up to 550hz. I got to get a video recording, for you to see.
  2. Ummmm, ummmm NFI. Let me walk outside for you... There you go mate 3.5" tips
  3. Never knew there were apps like that. Is the a specific app that you have used on your android device? I downloaded the audio frequency counter. It doesn't record though. I am not exactly sure what I am after.
  4. Keep looking around for the right XR6T or G6ET. The right one will show up eventually. Just make sure to check if those diff bushes are okay. There is plenty of info on this forum about what your first mods should be. Have a look in the ..... Damit K31th you are too fast. I am not even going to finish typing this post....
  5. What ever you do, don't get xforce gear. They are pretty loud.
  6. I hope you didnt do both at the same time. One at a time as I learned the hard way with the focus. Sometimes when swapping batteries, if you dont have at least one working fob, you cant start the car.
  7. I drove around for a few years with 310killer wasps. Never had an issue. Yep I drive a manual FG. It now has 380killa wasps and is struggling badly. Time for a new clutch as soon as the budget allows for it. she still gets driven hard. Welcome to the barra life.
  8. As I have no idea what drone is, it could be drone, but at the same time it is volume. Might be drone that is doing my head in.
  9. At this stage, things got interesting. After looking at the carbuilders webpage and their pinterest pics(which I could not see well as I needed a login), I decided to start at the front part of the boot where the passenger seats are. As you can see in this pic. this is is where it all started. This is a pic of the sheets folding down into the wheel well. I was told that the roller supplied as part of the kit doesn't normally get the stuff to stick. A mate suggested to use the back part of a screwdriver to really spread the tar and then use the roller to smoothen it out. so here you can see what it looks like once you butcher it with the back of the screwdriver. You then work your magic with the roller and it starts to look like this. Here it is from another angle. looking smoother. See the Goob near the screwdriver... this is when it started to annoy me. I went mental and pulled out the stanley knife blades. THE GOOOOOOB on the left side made the car look like it had a pair of balls. The right side start to loose slides.... I took out my frustration on this crap. really annoyed me. I am pretty sure that the only reason this stuff was there, was to keep water out the car. Like I was saying earlier on, when I got the cardboard off the sides, I was left with cardboard and tar. Well I managed to find a way to get the cardboard off and was left with this. see if you can spot it. I kept it to fill in the small spaces between the sheets and then rolled it with the roller provided. Towards the end of the night, I was starting to hurt in the lower back. This is where I stopped. Towards the front of the car notice how the goob is smoothened out so the dynamat can stick to it easier? This last pic is more so that you can see that the alignment of the sheets didn't work out well cause I layed the sheet to the right incorrectly. I just had to follow through. I will work with what I have and fill in all the spaces, the best I can. I am hoping that these close ups of the goob show up well.
  10. So my project yesterday, involved the carbuilders sound deadening product. http://www.carbuilders.com.au/sound-deadener-stage-1-black-label I bought this stuff, based on Lukes Recommendation. I am happy with the stuff. For those that have never done dynamt or the carbuilders product, fear not. I had no idea where to start. Took a while to get going, but once I knew more or less what to do, it was a bit easier. Unforntunately because I had no idea where to start, led to the final part(wheel well) looking a bit weird. For those that want to look at the album, here it is. http://imgur.com/a/8pnGe The one thing I will say is this. do not leave the stuff around in your hot garage during summer. I had my boxes in the garage for a while and with the heat, the stuff started to melt a bit. The tar started to slide out the sheets on the side. it then glued to the cardboard box. It was a mission to open the boxes. When I eventually ripped the box apart, there was still some cardboard stuck to the sides...... when pulling the carboard away, I was left with part of the tar in my hand. I will show you what I did with that stuff later on. Here is where I started the project, needed a bit of cleaning after our trip down south the weekend before. Remove the carpet and then the coverr for the spare wheel. Remove the the tools and belt for the spare wheel and you get this. see all that goo and clue towards the top of the above pic in the wheel well. My OCD killed me when I saw that sh*t. such an over use of the product. Not sure what this crap is, but I chopped at it later in the install with a stanley knife. It did my head in. As if that wasn't enough, Ford used tar in certain areas of the boot and this is what it looked like up close. At this stage I was getting keen to get the install started. I started to lay the stuff around the boot and found the side wall carpet to be an annoyance. I then had to figure out how to get these out. There are two scrivits inside the boot and 3 more behind the rear passenger seats. Fold the rear passenger seats forward and you will find them. Once I got all the carpet out the boot, I sort of layed out the sheets to get an idea of how I wanted it to look.
  11. I want to try and reduce the noise from the exhaust. It is driving me bonkers. Sounded sweet at first, but now it is too loud. nothing I can do about it. I thought it was going to be an easy job. most probably is an easy job, but my OCD doesn't allow me to do it easily.
  12. so the throttle body was replaced and the tune had a bit of a touch up to resolve the above issues. Every so often( has come up 3 times since) I will get the engine light come on and the following error comes up. P0133 - Powertrain O2 sensor Circuit Slow Response This seems to be when the car almost stalls, that it happens. I try and make sure the car doesn't stall on take off and I have no issues.
  13. nope. not any time soon. I just want to get the stuff out of my garage. it has been there since the begining of the year. The sh*t started to melt and come out the sides. It started to stick to the box and was a bitch to take out. I had fun trying to peel the cardboard from the sides. At some stage or another, I will install Audio, but not right now. I spent a fair amount buying this stuff, only to have it sit in the garage? I also needed something to do.
  14. I normally just tell them that my laptop is hooked up to my mobile phone. They then try it and still get blocked. That is when I start to laugh and giggle and tell them it is my personal phone and not my work phone. I then proceed to carry on watching from a distance and giggle some more like a little school girl. Eventually I tell them that it is blocked for everyone except for one person. The administrator has access to all!!!!
  15. yep. that is why I hate my OCD. See the bit at the bottom where there is tar in there.
  16. Yesterday is when it all started at close to 2pm. It then had to stop at about 10pm, but I had not finished. This was the start of it:
  17. You've changed K31th, John was right.
  18. The cpu isn't affeced as much as the GPUs. My cpu was an I7 920, one of the first ones and I had it for about 6 or 7 years before upgrading it to an I5. I have had the I5 for about 2 years now and I dont see a need to upgrade it just yet. It should last another 5 years I hope, unless it fries itself. I am aware that the GTX690 is a dual gpu card. It still is a dual system setup, which means that it will never fully double the performance. No matter whether it is nvidia or amd, they will never be bang for buck, or give you double the performnce as I was under the impression that it would be. The GTX980 is powerfull enough for me to run it at 1440p and not 4k. It is capable of doing 4k, but my screen does not support 4k reaolution. The 144hz at 1440p for "The Division" is sufficient enough for me. :D I agree with you two that upgrades should not be on the cards any time soon. A belated merry christmas to all.
  19. Solid effort there dude. This is just for you. I thought I was good at
  20. I see you onto it then. I learnt the hard way too in regards to dual card setup. I previously had dual R9 280X black edition and gave them up for a gigabyte gtx980 gaming edition. I am pretty sure that I will not be going dualmcard ever again. I rather get the best single card that I can afford. Try and get what your budget will allow.
  21. Hahaha that is always possible, but normaly a building allows one parking spot per dwelling. I take it thqt you park on the street then? If you ever do decide to park the F6 on the street, please let me know.
  22. It's still boosting hard. My android app called fuellog says my economy has been worse since getting it tuned recently. I am not 100% sure that it is a fuel economy issue. Might have something to do with a lead foot. so how is your boosted falcon? I have read that you now have a boosted falcon too. Does it have it's own parking spot in the under cover carpark? As mentioned above, fuellog, but you have to be deligent and enter all entries. Buy the full version to support the guy. I also backup my entries every couple of months and then save it to my server.
  23. When I read this, it bought back memories of my koolance case. I was going to say that you need to shake it all about, but you worked that out. Also the difference in gpu temp diff is due to having the cooling system in series. The cpu seems to first in the loop which will directly affect the temp of the first gpu, which in turn will affect the second gpu. Get an ice block infront of that radiator is all I have to say. In regard to maintenance for the system, well it all depends. I would say that you need to keep an eye on it. They normally recommend every 6 months. As you mentioned some people suggest using coolant in your system for 12 months. What ever you do, don't let any algae build up. As soon as you have a bit of algae in there, it is a bitch to clean out and get it out the system. It is not worth the hassle mate. Just clean the system out every 6 months. You right in regards to your last statement in the quote above. The cpu will be the limitting factor. If your cpu is not happy with the voltage settings, you will be in for a world of hurt with freggin BSOD. The memory may be rated for 1600, 1800, 2000 or 2400, but if you not getting the right amount of voltage for the ram, forget about it. if you rise the voltage to high, you have the opportunity to find out what a cooked cpu is too. It is a fine art to overclock a system as it is all about trial and error (which you seem to have experienced already). If you have the patience to carry on doing the testing, it is possible to get better results, otherwise head over to overclockers australia's website and see what other users have set their systems too. If your cpu isnt unlocked and you try to overclock it, then you will also have issues. I see you have a decent power supply, especially being gold certified, meaning that it is a bit more efficient at providing power. 1000w is more than enough for your system. Most people go 1000w when they go sli or crossfire. Overkill with a power supply like that, but it allows for future growth. I saw you have now mentioned what cpu you have and I can tell you the issue is the CPU. If you have no plans of going down the path of dual graphics card in the future, then get yourself an i5 assuming one would fit in the cpu socket of the motherboard. May help with the overclocking situation. I remember back in the day and I mean back in the day, when we still had the lan centre at the back of osborne park. I was one of the first people to have the koolance case 100. What a bitch it was to work in such a small case. I had so many cuts and grazes on my hands. What really put me off water cooling was when it leaked and blew my board. I bought another board and put it then. Proceeded to do a water leak test (after fixing the leak) only to find out the hard way that there was a leak else where. This blew the new board due to complaincency. For new comers out there planning to water cool your systems. There is a way to test the circuit with just the power supply and water cooling gear in the case. Do this first before installing the motherboard and the rest of the gear. In the end it is worth it because the system will run cooler and quieter, but does require maintenance. For those without a water cooled system, always make sure you have the right airflow in your case. Adding more fans to your case does not always fix your issues. Making sure that you have the same amount of fans blowing into the case, as to also having the same amount of fans blowing out does help alot. Having most of the fans at either the bottom or front blowing into the case, against the same amount of fans at the top or back blowing out. This should create airflow to cool the system. Sorry to everyone for the long reply, but that was me playing catch up.
