Far out dude, I only noticed all your gadgets now. Are those two of the hp tuners gauges that you have setup on your dash?

Sixman is on the money. It seems that it would be easier to just get a whole gear lever and knob replacement. here is why: Clip is facing forward for gear lever surrounding. See if you can spot it in the pic below See if you can spot it now. That is the only thing holding the boot to the lever. The silver bit below is the gear knob. There is an indent in the gear knob where thezip tie holds the boot to the lever. I think that might be the glue, you can sort of see what they poured down there. I am going to have to get a whole lever and knob assembly from hurst by the looks of it.

hahahahaha I been at it for 16 years and it never changes. I change the cpu, motherboard and memory every 5-7 years. Graphics card gets done every 2-4 years. the 26" Screen was on my desk for around 4 years and then thought the predator looked the goods. Hopefully both screens will be on my desk for another 6 years. If you going to buy a good screen, make sure you have the graphics card to back it up. the only reason I went with the predator screen was my gtx980. It is an expensive hobby, but not as bad as the XR6T......... that has burnt a big hole in both my pockets and I am still recovering from that. The misses still isn't talking to me......

I recently went to my tuna and got him to spend 15 mins hooking up their special workshop fabricated joiner for the turbo inlet. Then then connected the air line to the thing and checked for boost leak for the inlet manifold. I take it that this is the same thing?

Back on topic, looks like I am going to have to remove the boot and gear stick before I can do anything. The vice pliers did not fit. I have replied back to the seller advising that I would go an buy a thread pitch gauge. Repco never seize to amaze me. Went to supercheap auto as their website have the taledo pitch gauge for 40 smackers. Suprcheap had not staff at hand except for at the till. The guy told mee that they dont sell those parts as the part number is for over east. Is it possible that the gps antenna is broke or it came lose? I dont have sat nav, so I am just putting some ideas out there. I have no idea how to check the antenna either.

The hurst gear stick will be okay for ba/bf. The hurst stick sits parallel to the hear stick. with the FG they rotate 90 degrees which means the FG gear stick does not match up to the hurst stick. Which shop did you guys buy your gear from? Nothing agaist the hurst stick, but I think it is too long. I like the short shifter for the short travel of the lever and how low it is too. I know it is just two bolts, but I think I am just going to order the black gear knob. Trying to figure out if there is an Australian hurst page and not the american page.

I agree, the white smoke is a concern. It could be a capacitor that popped. it could also be dust on the fan, but I highly doubt it. if a capacitor popped, the card can still operate. Do some benchmarks and do a burnin run for 24 hours. Cant remember what program I use to use for 24 hour burn/run in for gpu, cpu and psu. Keep in mind that there is always a 7 day DOA warranty for any computer item, once the 7 days are over, then you have to do an RMA and wait for a replacement.

Thanks for the links guys. I dont want to have to buy the whole assembly cause I know that the leather and the clear gear sticker cover will peel away due to wear and tear. I am seriously contemplating getting either the white or black hurst gear knob. I am more inclined to get the black gear knob. I am just worried that I wont be able to get the old gear knob off.

give it time mate, I was in the same boat for 5 years. things seem to be settling down a bit more now, but with school starting and fees for this and fees for that, it can get over whelming when you get paid monthly...........
