  2. ^^^^ didn't see you post until now. Please keep in mind that the leather on mine looks a bit worn out. Also the clear plastic/rubber protector on top has come off too. In any case some pics for all. This is what I got in the post today. no it did not come in the packet in the back ground. I needed something white and I had that. Notice the size/thickness of the above lever? compare it to the stock one.... See the space provided in the kit. keeps the gear lever in almost the same position as the OEM lever. Different Angle to see the spacer. Yet another angle but closer. almost there.... installed I will say this, it feels a lot lighter than the OEM lever, which leads to you feeling all the feedback from the gearbox/shortshifter??? I am not exactly liking the feel, but I am sure that I will get used to it. I might have to find some rubber grommits to put in between the lever and spacer and then between the spacer and lever from shortshifter. Thoughts guys, what did you do to your install Aaron?

  4. Well if he was in Perth, my stock turbo internals are okay. The rear housing is cracked. He has an FG ute which should have the same turbo as mine. I was going to give him options, but I will pass.

  6. I found out about it only on that day. Wish I had caught up with other members of the forum on the day. It was a huge turn out and I enjoyed it.

  8. I have the xforce 4" dump into a 5" cat. Then a custom split 3" cat back Xforce XR8 system http://imgur.com/a/UWsdK ID1000 injectors, PW stage 2 IC, surge tank. I think that is some of it, not all. I hope I have all the supporting mods.

  11. So there was a cruise this past weekend on Saturday. Cruise started at Captain Munchies in Freo and finished in Cannington. Yep we finished at the Shannon's Kebab &Cars(facebook page) meet. Who's car did I spot there???? Rego was LAGON........... I know you on here, cause I have seen the thread. I waited ages to see if the "Owner" of the car would show up. no deal. Anyways there were a lot of sick cars there, well over 1000 cars I reckon. I was quite the sweet meet. No cops handing out yellow stickers when leaving either. I was really happy about that.
  12. I recently had advise from Core Shifters in the USA advising, that I should use a hair dryer to heat the glue up to get it off. Might be a better option than the oven? With the heater you can direct it from under the gear knob. The oven will do the whole knob and lever.

  14. I can only comment on two turbos. The stock standard turbo that comes with the FG. Stock standard they are alright from factory. Once you get it tuned though, it feels a lot more alive. only downside I had was that it lasted two years after mods and tune before the rear housing cracked. I now have the GTX3576r on there and it seems lagier than the stock standard turbo, it does however have more power and those legs really get stretched at the top end of the rev range. I could be wrong about the lag, but I can say that I have actually sat down and looked at both my dyno charts. I am gauging it all by the butt in the seat meter.
  15. Well I have my eye on a car in Canberra which I am planning on purchasing to learn how to tune with, and it is on the other side of the country. I want some sort of inspection done, so that I know what needs to be done to the car, which will allow me to bargain the final price of the car. If the bushes in the diff are shagged, I want to know about it. I would say a pre-transfer inspection and a General inspection.

  17. Where would you guys send a car to get it looked at for a checkup in Canberra? In NSW is it rcw check or something like that. Is there a similar place in Canberra?
  18. I don't own a GT, but I can't say I have seen a coin holder in the center console, under the lid. I know that @.Stripes. had a GT before, he might know.

Have a read of that thread. because of the skinny rods, it won't like much power. power goal of 300? why not make it 315 or 330 and see what happens to em rods??
  20. If you have read the thread that @skidxr6t suggested, you will know that if you plan on going for high power, then those rods need replacing. what are your power goals?
  21. It's best to upgrade the turbo oil filter to something else. Always remove the stock oem filter regardless. This means the oem filter does not get blocked and starve your turbo from oil. Most people just remove the turbo oil filter all together, with no aftermarket filter. The choice is yours.
