As has already been said, if you put the high flow cat in, then stay off the boost. I am pretty sure that will be hard to do, especially if you have the urge to over take. Now that you mention top speed runs..... I would be more inclined to keep the stock CAT in there and boost it as much as you can. Might get it flowing again....

So if it does recirculate and the OP does turn the screen to harder, will he still hear hear it as much if it is recirculating?

I might be wrong here, so please correct me if I am wrong. In that picture it looks like the adjustment screen can be tightened up to recirculate the air back into the system instead of ventilating to the environment. Do all Blow off valves do this? If if you tighten the screen does the sound of a boost leak actually reduce?

I see where you are coming from. The reason I did ask is that you said his is going to be your daily. If you get pulled over and do happen to be sent over the pits, then what? The reason I am asking is that I was pulled over by the popopopopopopopopo this week and I was afraid that he was gonna look at the engine bay. I turned the car off before he even stopped behind me to prevent giving away the fact that the car is modified. I was escorted to work by them to my work place as they followed. I was almost 100% sure that they would pull me over before I got to work, but they didn't. That being said how did you get the car certified with an emmision's test.

One way you can tell if you have a boost leak, is if the car is lacking power. That was the first thing I noticed when the revs hit 2500rpm, there was no power. I was driving an N/A. The other thing I have is an obdII port dongle which I have the android app called Torque, connected to it as a digital gauge. The boost was not showing up and I knew that I had a boost leak.

So how do you make an exhaust last for long with that sort of shiny look?

what did you do to polish the stainless steel like that? it looks brand new.

I thought I would update this thread to keep it up to date. It has been a while and I forgot about it. I found it in my searches for posts I may have started. So It is 2017 and I still have the Bendix ultimates and the dba 4000...... The shudder has not shown itself since. The car still stops in an orderly fashion from higher speeds. These pads are however driving me bonkers with the amount of dust I get on my rims. At one stage, I had someone ask me why I had the luxury 19" rims at the rears and the XR50 dark grey rims at the front. That was an embarrassing and awkward moment for me. Anyways I just hit 88888KM last week so not far till I hit 100,000km.

Did you remove the IC, or did Luke remove it for you? If it was you, How easy was it. I have been contemplating doing this to clean the oil out. Looking at the second pic, showing the internals of your IC, are those cracks between the fins? Lastly, that mini jack, you got holding up the piping, where did you buy that from? Surely the piping wasn't that heavy was it?
