I am sorry, but I am going to have to mine this thread. Dammit, how did I not see this thread any sooner. no wonder this guy has issues with his car. BPT tuning. ffs when are they gonna stop trying to tune fords. Go to a different tuner, assuming the OP still looks at the forum.

I had issues with the Bremtec pads at one stage. they glazed the rotors and caused some serious shudder from high speed braking. I had to get my rotors machined and then installed the Bendix ultimate to help get the rotors true again. I would suggest trying out the the Bendix ultimate(very dusty brake pads, drove me mad) or you could try the Project MU HC800(racing) brake pads. http://www.project-mu.com.au/en/products/pad_hcplus.php No I am not their rep and no I do not get any commission.

I take it you missing the XR6T??

So who ended up competing? Sounds like Arron didn't compete? Lennox did you end up competing?

When I had this issue previously it was cylinder number 6 and the cat flange to the dump pipe. it all sounded just like your video. Check the flange near the cat. I had the venom hi flow cat at the time.

The one I got(TS-853A) is similar to this one, excepting I didn't get 2TB reds. I got me 8 x 4 TB, gives me 21 TB worth of storage space on a raid 6 setup.

come on guys, settle down. Is that how we welcome new members? 7 Months and 20 days. That is a long time to be active on the forum with 3 posts. Maybe I should organize a group buy? What you guys think?

@Mrpunk I am assuming you didn't come back and update as the car is sorted(I am hoping) If you still on the forum, could you please post an update. I know this is an old mine, but I am really curious to find out if this was fixed or not. lol.

I know this is an old mine. I only got to this thread today. I wish there were more builds like this on the forum. This is an insane build especially being a "manuel". I sure as hell would love to go for a ride as a passenger in a built up car like this one day. Mine has less than half your power and is a handful on it's own. Hasn't been any other updates, so I am assuming that all is going well and you haven't done any other changes since September last year.

ohh I know that feeling all to well BCB. Especially with my quad tips and sh*tty sounding exhaust. Sounds like an XR8 with no grunt (when off boost). The moment boost kicks in and she takes off.... you can see that stupid look on their faces through your rear view mirror. Gets them every time. So did he/she speak to you at the next set of lights?

I have a chrome socket set at home(birthday gift), but I am pretty sure it does not have the spark plug socket. I will keep that in mind, especially with the tape and the uni bit. getting those spark plugs is the first thing that needs to be done.

I am assuming that this is a simple job as long as I have the right tools. I read somewhere that the hardest part of this job is getting that last spark plug out of cylinder 6. I will need to go to supercheap/repco or the Beyond tools in malaga to get a spark plug socket. Am I looking for anything specific?

For the life of me, I can't find what I want. I have used the search function and can not find the info. I need to get the spark plugs replaced as the car has hit 98k on the clock. Can someone please advise which spark plugs to get for the FG XR6T?

for really good, you want shockworkx coil overs.

I know this is old now, but have you checked all the bolts on the turbo housing, more specific the rear housing? If you got loose bolts there, then there is the possibility of a hair line crack in the housing.

my biggest barrier was getting a safe installed in the house as I had opposition from the minister of war and finance. She would not allow firearms in the house even if it meant no ammo in the safe. That killed the deal for me.

any update? did you get a new battery?

Good luck Rab. Was a pain in the ass to get the rifle license here in WA. Gave up in the end. Unless you got a block of land big enough, it is not worth the hassle.

Replacement Gear Knob/ball/stick for FG manual

boy have I missed out on a fair amount of updates on this thread. Not sure why it did not show up in my unread list. Anyways, I wanted to place an update in here. Ozywalker, thanks for the update. That just looks mint. So at the end of last year, the shifter felt weird. I found this Yeah the wrench strap had fell apart again for the 3rd time. I was over it and had to come up with a plan. Spoke to a mate at work that does metal fabrication and welding. as per image above there is no support. his quick suggestion was something like this: he gave me a whole bunch of blank plates. I know a few of you are going to have a fit cause they are not centered. I have limited tools to work with. one of them is not a vice grip. The other issue was having sh*tty drills. I did what I could. this should give you an idea what one side looked like before I put it all together. This is the final product. There are two plates in there. looks like it is only one, but it is not. This has made things quiet again and no loose feeling either. -

as mentioned above, can you blame him. Keep in mind that I can't say that I am friend with him, but I did use to chat to him every so often, when I got a chance. That being said if you invested in 3 taxi number plates at 100k each due to regulation, only to find out after a year or 2 that the number plates are no longer compulsory, how would you feel? He still has to pay that loan off as well which is so WRONG!!! If the "PHUCKED" up government that we have, said that the loan would be annulled, then fair enough, but that is not the case. No assistance what so ever either. I hope he is doing well as a mechanic. I do hope he comes back at some stage or another with his write ups. -

I have tried to lure him back, but with no luck. The last time I was in contact with him, was at the last cruise he attended. -

He was ambushed on the intermaweb, due to the way he reacted to one of his Taxi's being involved in an accident. He was stalked on all media outlets(faceballs/antilag/AFF and Fordxr6t website) and paid the ultimate price. He does not frequent any of these websites any more as far as I am aware.
