  1. Sounds like a great fathers day gift to me having your kids find the dyno graph
  2. Borris, you back in a ford. What happened to your FG?
  3. The car is my daily driver, so I believe Rob did what was best for me. Also my car is not a high powered car like most others at over 400kw. Stock clutch was not coping well towards the end, but it did well to last this long.
  4. I am sure that parts would start to fall appart especially in the drive train area, with the amount of power you have. Any other planned mods for the near future?
  5. I like the bonnet, it looks sweet, but I can't help it when these three letters come to mind. W R X
  6. Nah, not interested, just trying to understand how it works.
  7. Oh I have had it for some time now. I had another thread about it. https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/92914-replacement-gear-knobballstick-for-fg-manual/
  8. So looking at the fg pump, I am going to assume that it is not usable at all, as it will let oil past at the scouring?
  9. They are trying to copy what the apple store does, but I doubt that they have as many customers.
  10. So drove the car at least 100km yesterday, then ran out of time. Family time is more important than car time apparently. So the clutch isn't instantly grabbing like it was on day one. Must be bedding in which is good. I was getting worried that it would be like that all the time. However I am getting aot more feedback from the box with the Hurst lever. I am going to assume that this is normal too.
  11. I got the car back mid afternoon. Man the pedal seems to be lighter than stock. Is that even possible? Also pickup of the clutch pedal is at a different location. I am so used to where the clutch engaged previously that I almost stalled twice on the way home. Now I got to drive the car around town for 1000km before I can give it sh*t. This is even worse. I am so tempted to do 1000km over the weekend.
  12. car dropped off for new clutch. oh the waiting is killing me.

    My Build

Brad, I am pretty sure that there are quite a few people that read this thread. Only reason I am posting is to let you know, you have a subscriber here. I haven't been through the same process as you and so I can not contribute. Also I doubt I would ever do the work that you carry out on your car. I rather let Rob at MT do the work for me, like my new clutch that is getting done today. Anyways you seem to be doing a great job and please keep the updates coming.
  14. I have never done it to be honest. I am not sure I can help, but I can say this. on some of the Motor trend episodes last year for Drag week, there were a couple of Aussies that were on the channel for a couple of minutes talking about how they got their car and trailer there. surely they would have gone through the same process. http://www.aussiecarimports.com/cost.html https://www.a1autotransport.com/import-from-australia/ What you need to know: https://jalopnik.com/here-s-everything-you-need-to-know-about-shipping-a-car-1686580874 https://www.shipoverseas.com/requirements-importing-car-usa.html sorry but I can not be much more help than this.
  15. I like the blue. looks good. pity that the line at the top of the turbo does not show.
  16. Project MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  17. ohh I still like the E63 and C63 second hand, but I am not sure I would be able to afford the ongoing costs like servicing cost, insurance, rego and tires.... especially tires.
  18. uhh, who me? I assume the above question is for tray_182005.
  19. no excuses next time. the driveshaft was done previously too.
  20. yeah I tore a muscle in my calf at the beginning of July. I was out of action for 8 weeks and on crutches. was not fun at all. I was lucky enough that my boss let me work from home. I did not use up any of my sick leave or annual leave. Getting something tough this time or more for easy driving? What ever package MT are doing now. I believe it is tough. Dual with one being organic I think. Rob didn't give me the specs. It is their custom package so I am going with it.
  21. fark me, those 6 pot brakes like mint. Wish they would fit under the 19" lux pack rims.
  22. Alternate Taxi is what you are saying.
  23. at the time the car did not have 500 ponies. also in second gear at 20km/h it is only doing 1200 rpm, which is no where near on boost power. The rears are stock standard. they get aligned by the suspension place in Malaga as per standard stock specs. The fronts have a camber kit, but I am pretty sure that they are set to stock as well. so if I make the rears hard, it will skid more?
