  1. Well I have had the ATR Sport 2 (245/35R19) on the rears only for two weeks and I have been very happy. I know that they are not the dunlop sport maxx, but at least with the ATR Sport 2 I get good feedback and I know when they are going to let go and start skidding. I was out on Monday evening and I wanted to test the launch control in the rain and I was bloody impressed. The ATR Sports did not let go at all, only in third did they start to let go a tad. They seem to be a bit quieter than the dunlop sports that I still have on the fronts. The only issue I have with the ATR sports is that when I give the car stick going around a corner, they let go a lot sooner than the dunlops did and that is quite scary when you not expecting it. I got mine for $169 fitted from tyre power in midland.
  2. argggg friday nights is a no go. if it was a saturday night, I might be able to make it. Friday night the misses does night shift so I got to look after the kids. bummer.
  3. I reckon the next maint day should be to fit this: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/85799-process-west-fg-stage-1-kit-group-buy-now-include-stage-2-kit/page-2#entry1412729
  4. Great taste in colour. If you have about 4k to spend, you might want to look at getting a hi flow cat and keep the standard dump pipe and exhaust. Then get a process west stage 2 intercooler and piping kit. Finally id1000 injectors should help to get you into the 300+ club. Since I have a manual I went all out and added a short shifter to the list.
  5. Coolio. I see where you going with that. I am sure everyone would chip in to get their car on the hoist.
  6. I work just around the corner from that place and they always look nice and tidy in there. Always have people in and out of the place too. What ya plan on doing Boganspeed?
  7. Tim, glad to hear that your ride is sorted now. It is always a heartbreak knowing your pride and joy is not operational at 100%. Been there, done that. Steve, how come your filter is different than the others? I thought it was meant to be a circular thin film strip that is across the diameter of the hex nut. How did that filter fit in there?????? I need more pics!!!!
  8. That is awesome news. Are you still getting that sound like it is loosing air somewhere, or was that the turbo spooling up sound like Chris said?
  9. Tim, how did you go about getting a replacement fitting for the inline oil filter mate? Give us some details incase someone else has the same problem. So does anyone else have any photo's of the day? Steve are you being lazy?
  10. Might have to ask Rob if it is possible to turn off in one of the custom tunes.
  11. #96, you have no idea what a relief it is to be reading the post above. I thougt I was the only one with those issues!!! I believe it has something to do with the launch control of the car. Try and turn of Traction control and then do the same thing and see what happens. The trick is to be at a stand still, put the car in first and then rev to 3500rpm. Then you will hear the motor changes it's humming and you know you got the right revs. Then when you ready, dump the clutch and let it do it's thing. The car will be all over the place as you will not have TC on, BUT your clutch will not be "gone" per say.
  12. I wish I could make this one, but with two kids in the house, son is 1 and my daughter is 3, that is a tough one to manage. Steve, I was like WTF. We have a priest amongst us to bless our cruises. Keep praying for us to be safe..
  13. I aint no car. I use to drive a Mazda, but masda are my initials.
  14. Forget my reference to the Expensive Daewoo R8 317 badge.
  15. I kept thrashing the boost on the way home and it really felt more like a mini morris!!!!!!!! Man I am going to be in a world of pain with the boss, if I make extra payments to get the mods done sooner. Thanks mumba!!!!! It was a pleasure to meet all of you and to finally put a name and face to nicknames. I Think I enjoyed the maint day more than the cruise. Actually got to spend some time chatting and getting to know other forum members, which was awesome, but that is not to say that night cruises are not awesome either! A big thanks to Phil for hosting the session and providing a feed. The toys are always the main attraction as you are a lucky man to have 5 of them in the house. All good Tim. I am sure you would do the same.
  16. So would my plans for my daily be acceptable? Tune to 317rwkw and put 317 number at the back of the car?
  17. Since Arron is bringing some special tools, make sure you bring some EXTRA pants then.
  18. ^^^^^^ planned mods?
  19.   Even when we advise our insurance companies? If we advise them of the changes made to the car, surely the insurances company would cover most claims?
  20. I don't know if it is the same thing as the FG, but when I recently had my car in to get the dif replaced, one of the studs snapped off when they went to take the wheel off. I was then told that I had over tightened the nut and that this was not covered under warranty. To get the stud out, you have to remove the hub, which means that you stuff up the bearings. I was quoted $750 just for the hub and bearing. Like Wtf? Anyways I told them that I had never removed the wheel and that the twits at Midland did all the stuffing around. I went to Midland and spoke to the service manager and told him I was not paying and that this needed to be fixed asap. All I know is that they did not replace the hub or the bearing. The stud is working fine! Get that blow torch out! Or drill them out as suggested. You gonna need a large drill bit for that
  21. What tyres are you after?
  22. I have found that it is most probably cheaper to get most of the stuff through your tuner as they will have a better price FITTED in comparison to buying it seperately. The only thing I found cheaper was the 5" cat. I already have an earls inline turbo filter, but I reckon it would be something that could be bought as a group buy. The other mod on my list that I do not have are the angel eyes like Steve(WA) has. A group buy should brin the price down.
  23. Great results as usual. Just makes me more eager to get my payments done and getting the tune done. I plan to get my car in to Rob and Darren in september sometime. Good luck Bellato.
  24. Rotflol, well spotted Steve.
  25. Any issues yet? Still working correctly hopefully. I am taking my car in tomorrow to get the clutch looked at as it has been slipping in third gear. The clutch seems to sag at this point which gives me the sensation that something is not right. Can't say that my problem is the same, but I am curious to know how you went. Sorry to hijack the thread.
