or he could have a 1.5L bottle of water in the boot.
  4. Well I better get back on topic. I bought my car brand new and within the first 10000km I knew I had a whine. After that I tried to convince ford that there was something wrong and this went on for months. Eventually I got to the point where I threatened to return the car and managed to convince the service manager to go for a drive with me. He knew right away what it was within 5 mins of driving. He told me to go back to the service centre. 2 weeks later I had a new diff installed in the car. Main things I need to point out. The whine happened at 65-67km/h. This is the speed I set my cruise control at quite often in town. The could not be any load on the engine like going up a hill as it would not whine. flat road where the car was coasting is where you could really hear it. I still have a small whine now at about 56km/h but I hardly ever cruise at that speed and the loud exhaust I have cancels it out. I did try changing the diff oil and it did not make a difference. Good luck with the warranty @CaseyVII
  5. Well this has been doing my head in for a while. It has settled down a bit after 5000km. I just find that the pickup on the clutch is not as forgiving as the stock clutch was. I have been stalling the car quite a bit. The loudness of the exhaust contributes to this as I don't want the car revving to much at take off as other people think I am racing them. I have recently got to the point where I have gone to some exhaust places and I am looking at replacing these suckers with a single one: The other thing I have noticed while I was under there, was this:
  6. cool. At least you went for a drive and checked it out. Now I know to steer clear of the E63. Have you guys taken the audi out for a drive?
  7. J@ didn't you have a C63 at some stage? I could have sworn you had one. Why not the Audi RS4 station wagon? I think that the Audi RS3 and the merc CL250/300 may be a tad small for a family car. Oh and the lack of power from the Merc might drive you crazy. I know the RS3 has almost 400 ponies, but would that satisfy you? The Beamer seems to be the way to go, but in my case the servicing costs stop me from looking at them. I lined up with a black RS4 station wagon this morning and that thing took off like a rocket, especially with AWD. Oh I have not had any of the cars above.
  8. just put a loud exhaust on the car and the whine will go away.
  9. what brand 1080Ti's do you have? Also how much you after? Since the guys here have twisted my arm, I am currently looking at getting water cooling soon. That being said I am currently looking at possibly upgrading some of my gear, if the price is right.
  10. I am not sure what the answer is, but I am sure that someone will tune in soon. @k31th might tune in here. I think the PCM/ECU needs to be programmed to clear it out?
  11. send us a PM. I did download this at one stage, but for the life of me, can't find it now.
  12. hahahaha. I though my was bad.
  13. I would record my driving inside the car with a go pro, but I am pretty sure that my exhaust is too loud to allow the go pro to pick up on it.
  14. That looks like some sort of sexual device. I am now worried about you.
  15. quite a few times I don't get the cycle right and it thuds and then the rear wheels tend to squeal with the change of gears, but the thud is unnerving at the beginning. you get use to it though. as mentioned above, the smoother you can get the whole process done, the less likely it will thud.
  16. @PAH is it a manual? If it is a manual, this is what it looks like. invert the boot like a sock to be inside out and you find this. See that zip tie, that is all that holds it in place.
  17. I change gears quick(I hope) and do change from 1st to 2nd fast. I can't say that I have noticed the thud. However if you disengage the Go fast pedal first and then the clutch, you get that thud. Try and disengage both clutch and go fast pedal at the same time and you tend to reduce that thud. It is even more evident if the diff bushes have been swapped out from factory components to something like nolathane diff bushes, like the ones I have.
  18. Well that rules the option of taking you for a drive in my car. I am on the other side of the country.
