Thanks for the tips guys. I've just spent 1/2 the night reading the centre muffler removal thread! Seems to be mainly a 'sound' mod though. I'm thinking an upgraded airbox (e.g. F6) will be the first mod.

I'd definitely be interested in the air box. What mods have you done to it? Re the exhaust; I won't be chasing really big horsepower gains, just trying to make the whole thing a bit more efficient/breathe better (if that makes sense) with whatever improvements in sound that may come with that. Thanks for the welcome. Its a Mk1, 2004 auto and stock standard. Just about to click over 90K. Eventually I'd like to go 19s and upgrade the exhaust and airbox. Cheers

I was passed by the best sounding XR6T on Monday morning. Was heading sth along Carrington St when this white FG without a boot spoiler went past. Best sounding XR6T I've ever heard. Now I'd like to get the exhaust on my stock BA done! Can anyone recommend anyone good SOR??
