  1. Impressive difference, thanks all! Sounds like it should now.. Still going to put independant subs in next year but this will ease the pain for now
  2. Hi Quadie, I am running a FG with premo sound, considering my options as to go RCA outputs or get a decent line converter, what would you suggest? as you appear to have experience with both options.. ultimately I want to run a boot sub (or 2) and upgrade the factory door speakers, most likely run all this off an aftermarket 4ch amp and a monoblock amp but open to suggestions that would yield good quality results - I am happy with the ICC, as I simply play audio from my iphone anyway
  3. guess I better join the bandwagon before I start buying amps/subs etc and see if this will get me by til the new year.. the factory sub is a bit of a joke, maybe they intentionally did it as a way of making sure you couldnt audibly hear thumping bass outside of the car due to some stupid aussie design regulation?
  4. give tempe a call and they can probably order direct from the manufacturer
  5. btw bomber, my avatar is just a weird coincidence
  6. Thanks for the info Crashed, very helpful!! Took the FG out last night in the wet for the first time, and when I planted it, I got rattled around by the axle tramp during wheel spin.. I had known about the diff problems for a while with most BA-FG models but was hoping mine didnt have it... ah well bad luck to me, apparently stiffer suspension can fix the issue, has any one heard anything about this? Either way, it sounds like pedders are the go, as that will make my wheel choice a little broader from the sounds of it?
  7. thanks for the feedback, I am tossing up between **at most** 20x9 or 22x9 (if they fit)
  8. Hi TRA1NR, I am in both Sydney / Canberra most of the time - not sure about the camber kit - I would imagine its all included in the XA extreme coilover package - I have NRMA roadside assist not sure if that would help but a mate with a clubby (on 22s) had them put in his and after driving that I am fairly confident it would be money well spent, was just hoping to see if it made any different with the fords.. I guess my main curiosity would be whether the coilovers would allow for wider wheels at the front? all honesty I only picked the car up this week and havnt had a chance to go over it and look behind the wheels.. I notice nobody except for mexicanbatman has 22's on the front of his FG so chances are ill be going 20s, 20x9 at most
  9. so what about the fronts? anyone had any experience with the limits the front guards can fit?
  10. I got a quote from pedders for XA coilovers ($2300 installed) is this a good price to pay? Also does it allow clearance for bigger/wider wheels and tyres? I notice there isn't much space inside the arch at the front I have driven a clubsport with the pedders in them and I was pretty impressed (was low as fk but still comfortable) so any feedback would be great in a nutshell, I am hoping to achieve the following: * lower the height to improve the look and handling (centre of gravity) * maintain a comfortable ride * fit larger wheels - 20s or maybe 22s * ability to raise the height * improve the cornering * increase the rear grip (in part with larger/wider wheels) any feedback would be appreciated :D
  11. thanks for the post, how bad is the scrubbing? I was going to fit some pedders coilovers and try get an optimal height/look/ride quality for fully sickness.. but I am considering just going some alloy 20s with coilovers though, are there many ba-fg's running 22's? (new to the ford scene.. came out of the hsv closet)
