  1. Yeah figured tie rod, inspected the front today and looks like its toe'ing in. Gotta get a free ball joint replaced under factory fault with 07 model anyways so hopefully its just this anyways. Yeah im suspecting its this... Could have damaged the bushing? Obviously dont hit curbs, first time ever hit a curb tbh. And normally running up a curb is fine in a Territory beast but dropped a water bottle and spilt water everywhere and breif moment around a bend I ran up the curb and then went into one of those Divits in the curb where the drain's are and that's what did the damage. As above quote...accident, normally fine if u run over a curb but cos I hit the drain hard. Engine mounts? FARRRK...was your car driveable? Other than the tyre popping and the steering feeling tight it seems normal otherwise. No knocking on the engine or rattling etc. How much did all of yours cost to fix? I might have to make a insurance claim, already spent $160 on the replacement tyre. So if the steering costs more than $200 I might have to make a claim. Front diff? I know the bushing on the rear drivers side is on its way out cos I can feel it knocking and ive been told its a common problem on the Terri's
  2. Hi a curb this morning and popped my driver side rear tyre. I hit the curb with my front right aswell. Put the spare tyre on and drove off and now my steering is extremely siff and sticky. I can almost turn it one way and the wheel will stay there. any ideas on what I could have done?
  3. Yeah your right, does lagg up a bit in the warmer weather, and concidering im getting it all tune up in the summer. I dont want to get excited and blow the car because I didnt get a front mount. I bought 60lb deka injectors soo I might as well complete the package with the front mount. Wouldnt mind just finding a good aussie made huge front mount and then welding up the piping myself.
  4. The thing is I started this out to just replace the cat and get a re-tune, then I purchase a dump because it was cheap and might as well do it whilst I'm replacing the cat and now I've bought injectors from this guy: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/classifieds/item/366-60lb-siemens-deka-injectors-in-sealed-bag-unused/ And now im contemplating Front mount. I know I should replace the inter cooler but ive gone to far already. From replacing the cat to pushing 350kw+ and $2000 more than I should have spent. Should I or shouldnt I. its a daily, will the stock top mount cooler be that dangerous for daily driven once ive bumped up the boost? Whats your thoughts on Decent size china cooler and custom piping kit which ill do myself? that way I can keep the cost down from $1500+ for a cooler kit to more like $400.
  5. Ok bidding for some on ebay atm In the future ill get a cooler and weld up my own cooler piping to get some nice gains but ill be happy with around 300kw for now.
  6. Obviously I know the injectors can go to 450+ HP if I had other mods installed. But at my current status with full exhaust and high flow air filter if I got a tune would it be viable for me to get injectors now, would it help increase my power now at my current mods? or would my stock injectors be sufficient enough. What im saying is, is it worth spending 300-400 on some injectors if im going to get the same HP at my current mods? or will they give me a significant increase for me to justify the spend.
  7. I wouldnt have a clue tbh. But its defiantly magnaflow. Stamped all over the exhaust, u can even get magnaflow dump and cat but I got it quoted up at $1200 just for parts. (current ebay dump and cat setup cost me $490) I got a TTG 2006. So max is 280 (atw???) on stock injectors, and if I get aftermarket 60lbs injectors installed? how much more KW would I be looking at?
  8. Will I benefit allot from the injectors? what PSI can the stock injectors hold compare to after market 60lbs injectors?
  9. The magna flow stainless cat back was installed on the car before I purchased it.
  10. Ok, Cat and dump installed. No engine light and its not going in limp mode and its been a whole day and half of driving so it seems that this cat is legit. The exhaust note has changed quite a bit, 10% louder and slightly meatier and I get a bit of a gurbel which is nice. I have noticed a significant increase in power, but I think it might be over boosting 2-3 psi because the turbo spool is slightly louder, I really need a boost guage to monitor whats going on. I cant be 100% sure if it is over boosting though if it is its not much and im not thrashing it so im playing it safe until I get a tune in the new year. speaking of which now I have 3.5 inch dump, high flow 3.5 inch cat and twin 2.75 inch exhaust, and high flow air filter is there anything small or cheap that I need to purchase before I get my tune that could increase my power gains significantly? ie injectors? colder air intake kit that goes under the battery? I just want to get the most out of my tune without having to spend to much more for the time being. I have a track car I spend money on and this car was only meant to be a daily driver and not a tuner so I don't want to go to big for the time being. also with the current setup, if I get it tuned what power would you think I would be looking at?
  11. I h8 the new terry. I cant say much for its engine or features but I h8 the new euro styling. I've hated almost all car companies going to the new euro styling. They make the guards higher the rear bumpers larger and the lights slimmer. Getting back to the new Terry. It looks like the worlds fattest human sat on the bonnet. It does look very Klugarish, it looks like a cheaper car and I think its going to age very fast. Where the older Terri has been around for years and I still think its looks better and was styled almost 9 years ago. I dont hate the rear but I dont love it either. The tail lights look to small for the huge terri back end. lastly them not bringing out a new turbo petrol option put the icing on the cake.
  12. Wow so I got under the car today remove the cat and unclog the mess it has made so I can make my car drivable again and what do I find....the cat is welded to the exhaust. This is the 2nd dumbest thing ive seen working on this car. 1st the turbo oil feed filter which isnt easily accessable and isnt easily interchangable which is deffinatly should be = the reason I blew my turbo a few weeks ago 2nd the cat being welded to the exhaust. Wtf is that sh1t. parts that need to be changed easily arnt. Ford trying to make any buck off you they can. I can just see it now...exec's and designers coming up with the plans to make more money off the consumer after they drive it off the lot. "we will weld the cat converter to the exhaust so it isnt easily interchangeable and then when the driver comes to get his cat replaced we will charge him $1750" sorry for the rant...needed to get it out of my system.
  13. AHHHH this would totally make sence...cheers guys.
  14. So I been driving the car in limp mode since last thursday, Nuford said it would be fine to drive it daily until I get the cat fixed. As far as I was aware limp mode doesnt cause any issues to the car, just drives like a dog. So I been driving it quite slow the last week. Yesterday coming home from work I was driving down the freeway and in the space of 10km/s the car got slower and slower until it didnt have enough in it to keep the revs up and I had to pull over. It feels exactly like a timing issue but not. I cant rev it over 3k until it feels like it boggs down and wants to stall. Is there different types of limp modes on these engines? The car starts and idles fine, you wouldnt know there was something wrong with it until u accelerate. Alot of intake noise as if its stuggling. Probably could have driven 60k's all the way home but to be safe I got it towed home. Any idea's?
  15. Anyone else want to confirm this?
  16. Tbh I wouldnt have a clue. Two mates from work with xr6 turbo's recommended these guys => http://www.bptmotorsport.com/index.htm Install and tune of either a Cappa/sniper or bullet ECU tune he said....mostly similar pricing of install and tune time. But my mates said there good so ill just get them to do it. Cbf installing all this myself, its my daily and I cbf touching it.
  17. So I got my Cat in today (paid for it on eBay yesterday afternoon) very quick. Getting this and my dump installed Tuesday or Wednesday Wed-Thurs im getting Capa tuned done. EDIT: what power you reckon I should be getting? What PSI should I be aiming for? 3.5inch dump, This cat, Twin 2.75 magnaflow Cat back, Cold air intake kit.
  18. Yeah this could be true, does say it has 100cpsi which from researching should be enough to not cause it to fail the rear o2 sensor. But we wont really know until we try, meh it was only 165 with free delivery. If all else fails im going to look into one of those sureflow Exhausts. My Territory is a daily driver, I have a track car which I have done this on. Territory stays yellow free. I have a spare bleed valve in my garage I can chuck on the gate vac line to offset the overboost if I have any that large. I'm going to be installing a temp boost guage after I install the dump and cat to keep an eye on it and if its quite large I will adjust with the bleed valve to make it close to stock to run it safe. I plan to install front mount, injectors (if needed) and then get it tuned all at once. Thanks mate, they look like good cats. If I have issues with mine I will be deffinatly getting one of these. You got one at the moment? any issues with the rear o2 sensor giving engine light errors?
  19. Are you serious....what doesnt trigger the ECU to go into limp mode?
  20. Sure can... Isn't that what a high flow cat is made for? high flow and same emissions? Ahh yes overboost situation I can understand that but the way "cobramad" was putting it as if the car didnt know what boost to give low or high. Overboost is completely understandable. The lower back pressure meaning higher flow which the turbo overcompensates for and might over boost 1-2 psi which is fine for the daily drive for a month or two until I get it tuned properly.
  21. This is the cat I got: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/230650212802?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 The cat gives a euro 3 emissions standard which is what the stock cat is so it shouldn't pose a problem. 2ndly I haven't heard of any car that can confused the ECU with the amount of boost once the car has already combusted. Unless there was a sensor in the exhaust that regulates exhaust pressure and flow of some sort. Kinda doesn't make sense. Could you please elaborate a bit more.
  22. HEGO? u talking about an o2 sensor? and Flapper? do u mean wastegate?
  23. Car has done over 100,000 clicks and the Gauze oil feed filter got blocked (as they do at around those km's) and starved the turbo for oil and blew. Warning if you havent removed your gauze filter and replaced it with a inline. Do it asap because I made the mistake of not knowing this.
  24. Thanks...I might see if they have 3.5 inch models.
  25. Also if anyone has used one of those Dumps, are they any good?
