  1. Happy Birthday V8landcruiser100!

  2. Just a little update I was going to leave the exhaust stock and just use a hi flow cat but I saw in another thread that x force have now a cat back twin 2.5 inch system so I could retain my venom hi flow cat. I got it through best mufflers online in mild steal for $595 which I thought was great considering some of the stupidly expensive quotes I have got for exhausts in the past. From what I have heard from some people I was expecting the exhaust to be of average build quality especially factoring in the price I paid but when it arrived and unpack it I have to say it was very well made and I will be buying them again. I installed the exhaust then the car was driven down to KPM Adelaide for 1000cc injectors and a tune. I got the car back and HOLY CR@P this thing is fast its almost comical how quick it is. The outcome of the tune was 311.5 KW's at the wheels along with just over 750NM of torque The difference after the tune is amazing its like a totally different car and the best thing is it feels faster then my Yamaha TRX850. One thing I would like to know is how do people go with 350 to 400kw's at the wheels handle the power is it even usable?
  3. Nice car, I'm really jealous of the cashmere trim looked for ages to try and find one in black and just gave up and settled for black with black trim. As for car detailing don't wast your time with Supercheap and Repco, go through waxit.com.au . They sell to professional auto detailer's and carry a large range of supplies and brands. As for leather care I use Swissvax and they sell a leather care kit - http://www.waxit.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=235&category_id=3&manufacturer_id=26&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1 If yours is a MK1 without the touch screen just buy a TomTom its a lot cheaper and from what I have read the factory ford system is not that great. When I first got mine I had rough idle and on cold starts really bad surging, this was fix under warranty through means of a software update.
  4. Harryh - Thanks I'm hoping new tyres helps out Fletty - I have Plazmaman stage 2 intercooler piping which I got when I purchased the turbo side intake and battery relocation. the Hot side fit just fine but I spent and hour and a half trying to get it to fit and clear the air box on the cold side. In the end I gave up and used the stock piping and will replace it when it fails. I think it fits with the Plazmaman stage 1 kit.
  5. yea I have defiantly thought about getting an LSD. My traction problems at the moment I think are to do with tyres. When I purchases my car it had new tyres fitted through the dealership but they just happened to be the cheapest crappiest Chinese tyres you can get. I will replace them first and if that's still no good then I will do the LSD and diff bushes. Just a little pissed of that the most expensive car in the ford lineup(excluding FPV) doesn't come with one
  6. it bolted straight on but was slightly touching the intercooler piping so I removed a little bit of plastic from the side with a die grinder just to be safe but is still a close fit
  7. The intercooler I purchased directly through PWR when I went to Brisbane on holidays. The air box was from KPM Adelaide and cost $595 supplied. I run the standard bonnet but I am not sure if KPM re-manufacture them to fit.
  8. 23 years old here so glad I got the G6E turbo
  9. Thanks mexicanbatman I was intending to keep the turbo as is but knowing me once its tuned and I get board with it, it could be on the cards. The main problem I have is traction but I am hoping some nitto NT05's should help.
  10. HI I'am starting my G6E build, the car is a 2009 build MK1. My goals for the car is for it to remain looking stock with power in the 300 to 320kws at the wheels. The first mods that I had purchased was a Palzmaman turbo side intake and battery relocation which I had installed for 3 weeks. The intake was fun for 2 weeks but was just way to loud. The Plazmaman intake was replaced with a KPM street fighter/ FPV Coyote intake This intake is great and has a stock look to it and has a great sound without the over the top Dyson induction noise. This was followed up with a PWR stepped intercooler. The build quality is amazing and they are not joking when they say its the largest core that will fit with out cutting. When installing it I almost thought it was not going to fit, its very tight. The intercooler was fitted with the Plazmaman intercooler piping kit. The stock piping that goes through the underside of the drivers side headlight is for some reason crushed down and somewhat restrictive. I have a venom hi-flow cat pipe but wanted to get a baseline dyno run done before it was fitted and dyno tuned. The results was very surprising considering it has not been tuned there is more to come and will keep you posted.
  11. I was thinking of going custom and got a quote for a 3.5 inch system and they wanted 3k for full stainless. If I go xforce I can get the exhaust and pwr stepped cooler for 3k.
  12. yea I thought the 4 inch would be tight, I guess I will just settle for the 3.5 inch as any knocking would be unacceptable. Sorry I didn't mean to "stir the pot" about higher power readings in SA, curiosity got the better of me as it seemed to pop up a lot.
  13. I have been looking at getting a new daily driver and have purchased a 2009 G6E turbo. great car I should have purchased it much sooner. I am planing to do the usual modifications and as such looking at an xforce exhaust, what I want to know is their any clearance or knocking issues with fitting a 4 inch xforce. Another question I have is looking through this forum and there is a common belief that south Australian cars make more power why is this?
