  1. ive been told its running lean by specialised automotive in bega.I tried to get a power run on their dyno the other day but had to stop as it was unsafe.and nope I no longer have any box as I bought the car second hand..ive spoken to intune and they remember tuning the car for the last owner..as to why the engine blew..I dont know.worries me a bit but ive spoken to the wreckers where the current engine came from and they tell me it had 57000 kms on it and its from a rear end collision.the cars had a bit of a history. all these factors probly point me towards a custom tune.but I just thought I may be able to get out of it a bit cheaper in the short term as im not the richest bloke. cheers for the help

I need a little feedback about the x3 tuner that intune motorsports sell with the preset tunes on them. where I stand at the moment is my car is running to lean and I need a tune and injectors,I have the injectors but im not putting them in until the car is going to be tuned.but I dont have a spare 1500 for the custom tune atm...ive just been taking it easy in the car so that I dont blow the thing up. if I buy a x3 from intune with prest tunes is there room on the box for me to get a custom tune done down the track or am I better off buying a x3 that's empty? id like to spend the 1500 but I just cant scrape together that much all at once and im afraid if I keep driving il get some serious detonation. so basically what I need to know is if I buy the intune x3 will it be enough with the 60lb injectors to stop the car running lean until I can save some pennies for a custom tune the car has previously been tuned by intune by the last owner but has since had a new engine put in and im going to guess the old engine had bigger injectors becuae the car seems to hav been modified to a stage where it should have already had injectors done(full xforce exhaust,big intercooler,tial wastegate etc) any help would be appreciated as im a fair way away from any reputable tune shops and on an apprentice wage :D
  3. cheers.the fact I rang the shop that is/was going to do the tune and asked them if it was ok and they said go ahead makes me a little concerned.im not to keen on letting them work on it now.im down on the far south coast nsw,merimbula,so the next closest shopd are in canberra,anyone reccomend a shop in canberra for a reasonable price?
  4. it includes the xcal and ive since shopped around a bit and it sounds like a good price.as for the injectors.ive got people saying they will go straight in and others saying the car wont run?
  5. just had a dyno power run and was told my xr6t is running to lean and coming on boost to late,the shop suggested I get some bigger injectors and a custom tune,theyve qouted $1500 for a custom tune and im wondering if this is to much and should I look elsewhere? ive bought some 60lb seimens which il put in ths w.e. what have other people paid for a custom tune?

  7. just joined up after buying a bf mk2 xr6t with the zr 6 speed and it had this websites stickers all over it.il try and put a picture up soon but I was wondering if someone might recognise it as it apparently has a bit of a history..its been a repairable writeoffdue to mnalicious damage and when its been fixed looks like a typhoon style bumper and rims have been put on it.it has a bigger intercooler,wastegate blow off valve,x force exhaust and a few other bits and pieces but I dont know anything about the history of the engine.odometer is showing 82000kms and I can tell the engine has been out before.its got premium sound and full leather interior,air fuel and boost gauges. I bought the car at a stupidly cheap price so I am expecting to spend a bit of money on it but so far ive done 4000kms in it without a problem (except fuel economy isnt the best!) and its got more than enough power to have fun in.also theres an intune sticker under the bonnet so im gonna guess they did the work vin 6fpaaajgsw5r64834 rego BM11KY I have some old regopapers with the name wayde thomas fuller on them if anyone knows this bloke any help would be great as I am an apprentice mechanic and id like tto know whats been done to the car in the way of tuning/engine work cheers!
