  1. Yeah I'm not sure what giving KPM the Bosch part number is gojng to do. I'm looking for someone that tunes their own car and has used the 550's in their FG and has a good set of scalars that work to save me the pain of dialing them in myself.
  2. Hey guys, I just got hold of a set of Bosch injectors for my FG. They are 550cc at 3 bar. They are black with an orange ring if that helps description wise. Otherwise sold as KPM 550cc. Does anyone have a good set of slopes and offset numbers for these injectors?
  3. How many engines have you seen first hand "blow up" as you put it? And out of the ones you have HEARD OF, do you know the circumstances behind their failure? All I did was state a FACT..that CAPA offer that service to to public. So for example because Intune Motorsport sell an XCAL3 with generic tunes to the public, is that any safer then CAPA's tune?
  4. Call them and ask them...I don't work for CAPA, sorry. I just stated the fact. They said they have the license to do it as they were the original importers/dealers when the Xcal boxes come to our shores many years ago and for the sole reason there are still boxes unsold that need to be used. The average dealer and tuner has no suport for this box, that is correct. But CAPA do Just sayin in case anyone else out there was in the same situation I was in after selling a manual ute in favour of an automatic sedan, and only wanted a generic tune...which I was happy with considering the money I spent, and wanted to re-use my original XCAL1 BOX!!!!!!!!
  5. If you are looking for a custom tune then yeahhh, I'd feel really sorry for the bloke that buys one off ebay. BUT........If you are only looking to spend a couple hundred dollars and can't afford cooler, exhaust, injectors and a custom tune blah blah blah and are NOT chasing numbers, but rather after a cheap power up to your standard vehicle, then CAPA CAN clear a locked Xcal 1 box and supply you with a generic tune for a total of $250. That's cheap if you are only chasing an extra 30kw or so to help tow your caravan or trailer lol ... But that's a fact!! And to crucify some poor bastard looking to offload a cheap box on ebay ISN'T fair.. talking about FAIR and fair trading and consumer rights. These old boxes DO serve a purpose and are NOT completely useless at all.
  6. They are not paperweights, nor are they useless. They CAN be cleared and a generic tune added to suit your vehicle upon request from CAPA as they were the original importers/sellers of the Xcal1 box. $100 to clear the box and another $150 for a generic map.
