  1. Similar issue Chau. But mine's an FG F6E. Says Engine Immobilised when I stick the key in. Usually starts after 5 or 6 goes. Only happens on hot days when car has been parked in sun...

  3. Wow, quite an old post ! Maybe someone is listening though.. I am on my third set of Proxes T1Rs and I can't rave enough about them. I have had 2 sets on an SS, 1 on a clubbie and the F6E will be swapping out the Dunlop Stupid Maxx roller skates as soon as I can wear them out. The maxx's let go way too easily - especially above 40 psi. I always drove the proxes at 48 psi and they just kept getting better all the way up to there - and still wore evenly. The toyos also give HEAPS of warning unlike the snappy Dumlops and their wet performance is nothing short of superb. I reckon they will be the only road tyres that can truly keep up with those 20 pistons of brembos and be able to tame that traction issue at the end of 1st and 2nd gear - that alone has gotta be worth a second - not to mention the extra grip powering out of corners. I dunno much about rubber vs. silica and the toyos are my first silica tyres so not much to judge against.

Good point sideways. Ahh screw the warranty...we don't buy these things to blend in do we.

Will prob get a tune after Xmas. Any experiences with Injection Perfection or other Syd based tuners? And do I really need to upgrade my f6 injectors to get 350 atw? Is the handheld Flash tuner any cop? It seems a lot cheaper and more flexible than a shop tune - cos ya gotta love the option of a valet tune....even re-setting to factory default may be handy in some dealership situations.

Thx 26. Sorry Brenno I didn't know where the tissue holder was on an XR6. But come to think of it, I could do with another slot somewhere, even a coin holder would be nice...

Prob not tra1nr - I am already having probs navigating some driveways with the front dam - but maybe the back could come down an inch....I would really like to ditch the dunlops and get my fave tyres instead - Toyo Proxes T1R. The dunlops start letting go too easily above 40 psi - toyos r great right up to 50 & still wear straight. I am sure they would give me a little more Gs. Any experiences here anyone?

Hey guys - I hear the F6 ZF auto learns or adapts to the way you drive. So how do I just simply put it in ballistic mode? I drive differently all the time but when I want the gearbox to do its stuff, I don't want it to be confused or argue with me that it's doing it just the way I last left it during that one hour traffic jam. Anyone know how the logic works in these things? PS: thanks for the welcome gents. Good forum, even good for newbies.

Just bought one. It's lovely. It's an F6 with "E"xecutive styling. and a few significant differences. Leather is std and so are the v large discs & 6-pot brembo's on front - 4 pot on rear, different alloys, small boot lip spoiler, walnut woodgrain on the dash and doors, sound dampening, chrome bits here and there, no racoon eyes under the headlights and a few other nice touches that you see up close. They accelerate and corner just like an F6 but they do stop quicker and can do it over and over again. It certainly gives anyone a shock that might try to beat you off the lights or prevent you from changing lanes....no one even knows what it is let alone expects it to go ballistic in a split second. Not sure if it's worth the extra dosh ($23K) when F6's go for under $60K now but if you are under 30 go the F6. If you are 45 or over, go the E. If you are in between then the choice may be tougher. I liked the rareity of it and the "hidden dragon" personality.
  12. Thx tra1nr. Picked it up last Sun. Plan to keep it 3 yrs. cant seem to upload jpeg - will keep trying. It's black (shill) has tinting and tow pack but no GPS cos it was sh*t compared to my phone. Never looked forward to or loved a car so much b4. I think the ECU was played with because it seems to pull harder than the F6's I test drove. Previous owner was a famous racing driver but I promised not to say more than that...
  13. 45 - 2011 F6E - Build Number 11
  14. I have Toyo Proxes T1Rs on both my VY SS (2nd set) and FG F6E - sticky as hell with lots of warning when they are about to break loose. Excellent wet perf (but nothing will ever keep an F6 completely footed in the wet except Grandma), strong sidewalls and all Silica construction. The Dunlops really start to loose grip when inflated to over 43PSI but the Toyos keep getting better all the way to 48.
