Hi All, I noticed today that on almost full steering lock either turning left or right that the steering wheel is pulsing in my hands, and wanting to edge back towards centre, its not a heavy pull and only wants to come back about 2 centimeters, but while your trying to hold the wheel you can certainly feel it. It guessing it can only come from the power steering. I've had many cars with funny habits but never one doing this. I'm guessing this is not common but hoping someone else may have experienced this and appreciate if its as simple as a fluid change. Cheers,

Hi All, As an FYI, Just had a phone call from Ford re extending my new car warranty. Expires 26 November and car currently has 61,000 klm on it. She did say the cost is based on klm's done so for mine here's the cost: Extra 2 Year / Maximum 100,000 klm is $1495 Extra 3 Year / Maximum 100,000 klm is $1685 Extra 3 Year / Maximum 200,000 klm is $2085 I have no mods and will still have it at least another 3 years so I am waiting on a call back from the Tax agent to see if any is tax deductible as car used for part business use. (Interestingly no issues so far but is going back in on Monday to have the Windscreen washer looked at as not working)

14,515 since November 2011. First service coming and only complaint is thing wont keep traction and scares the Mrs daily. (Which is the one thing we miss about our VE SS is it was very stable.)

That sounds a little strange, I cant see it being a stat write off as they are only paying out the sum insured, not the market value. What if it was only insured for $5,000? If he has cashed the cheque or signed a release agreeing to that figure hes probably stuffed now. If he hasnt then he might be better off negotiating a cash settlement outside a total loss. Part of their public liability insurance will be that they do not admit any liability. You will need to lodge a claim under your insurance and risk losing you no claim bonus and paying your excess up front but as its only $300 (and no disrespect intended over the cost) I would just write up a letter of demand holding them responsible, enclosing 2 quotes for repoair and giving them 3 weeks to respond or you will be seeing your soliicitor. Also as they were on the shopping centre premises you could also send a letter of demend to the shopping centre holding them responsible also but they will no doubt tell you to bugger off but will certainly tear the car wash a new one. I'm in the same with Corey and due next week for the 3000klm service. I will be asking for an oil change as well as a tyre rotation... I'll pay the extra for it for the piece of mind. (Not trying to hijack your thread mate)

For example SG fleet wont pay for the 7500 changek, only the recommended log book scheduling at 15000k. I may have been able to tell the guy I wanted it at the start of the lease and budget it in.

Call your insurance broker and ask for a quote from Zurich. They dont deal direct , only through brokers. Id be suprised if you pay more the $1000 with excess free windscreen and hire vehicle extension.

Mine did it on the way home from the dealer on tuesday but it has quietened down now with 300 k on it. The car advice review write up makes mention of this so I was aware when I first felt it. Ease off the throttle and all is good.

Well I picked up the new beastie and have been looking for some hints and tips on what to expect on picking up a new FG such as the best settings for the ICC and instruments, running it in, no cruise for the first how many k's etc. For example, why has no one mentioned that the dash cluster lights dont come on with the headlights / parkers when you turn the lights on, but only when its dark enough. I had the sales team running around for 10 minutes wondering if a fuse had blown. or that the music stops when reversing? 2 things my VE SS didnt. Im loving the silence of a new car. Everytime I went around the corner in the SS and gave it a bit you would think it dropped a suspension strut it was that bad. Only complaint is the seat base seems a bit smaller than the commodores. Apologies if there is a thread for these things. Pics to come.
