  1. You may think its normal but it ain't right. I would suggest at service time, you leave the car with them over night, go in to get it in the morning and get old mate to sit in with you at warm up. A thrust bearing or spigot bearing should make no noise. It'll probably still last forever as it is but that doesn't mean you should put up with it. They will probably say it's normal because it means removing the tranny to replace it and they'll try to bs you.
  2. I'll likely be in for night runs, not so much day time ones.
  3. Yeah I saw a Ricer yesterday with the vinyl sheet on the roof, bumper, bonnet, side skirts and mirrors, like that white car above. I can't say I liked it much, but I can say that I liked the fact it was different.....till next week, when everyone will have it. I love your black rims with the stretched tyres, looks mental. I'm looking forward to seeing how your spots of gold on the mirrors and fuel flap will look with the rims once it's all on there.
  4. I live in Thornlie so I'm in the city of gosnells. Shyfrd I don't have any mechanic mates that I would be able to dump oil with at the moment. Funnily enough, the forum software replaced the word "pig's" with "cops" ! Which I didn't think was cricket, so I quickly changed it back.
  5. I regularly service my bikes and sometimes, the odd car. I have a jerry can which I tip my used engine oil into. My mate used to work at a bike shop up to a few months ago so I could dump my oil in there disposal drum but not any more. So now that my jerry has probably less space than an oil change in it, does anyone know whare I can take oil to be disposed of ? Obviously, tipping it down the sink is out. Rubbing it all over my naked body is now also out as I've recently graduated to pig's blood.
  6. Just bumping this guys. Luke, when are you available for this ? My Garage awaits.
  7. Yeah I'm not unhappy with the decision, I have heaps to do in the shed anyway, and being a day time cruise, I was probably going to have to being the hand brake along.
  8. Steve, what time do you expect to leave Mash? I don't think I'll make the 12 oclock meet.
  9. I'll be up for a Sunday drive. Prob meet ya's at the rubbidy though to give me some more shed time. What time leaving the Mash ?
  10. I used a Barrister a while back to get me off a potential license losing charge. Not cheap but hey, you get what you pay for. I can dig out his details if you want.
  11. I thought you may have been talking about the garage that Panda Eyes posted. As you were.
  12. The house was built with a four car garage so no problem for me FInished about 6 months ago. Unless you mean that other one that looks like a gutted house. that's gunna be cool when it's finished.
  13. My set up is allright. If you're gunna build your dream home, it's gotta have a big garage.....and a bike room
  14. Koya Innox look real nice. I would go rims and tyres and suspension. Don't risk your warranty unless you're prepared to pay for anything that might go wrong with your engine or driveline. It probably won't happen but that's the risk you have to accept. Leave the tune till the warranty is nearly up.
  15. How about Mash Brewery. Parking on bitumen over the road, a bit of a choice of food, and they do snakebites. If the weather forecast is looking good, it might be worth booking a table though as it gets busy on a good day.
  16. Hahaha it's Titan Ford that's doing it for me. No issues with warranty as they admitted warranty prior to me dropping it. If I have diff issues in the future though, that could be a different story.
  17. Just to add some thing I learned today. I had some 20x10 and 20x8.5s fitted to my FG2 ute the weekend before last. Also fitted were kings SSL fronts and 2" blocks in the back. But I wasn't happy with the feel from the back, it felt like on small bumps, the leverage of the 2" blocks would wind the spring a little and then release. The result was a tIny boing sort of feeling over small bumps. My Missus noticed this as well when she drove it. Also, as soon as it was lowered, there was a vibration felt on acceleration through the driveline and a harmonic vibration at highway speed. I put the vibration issue down to the tailshaft somehow being under a new load so I called my mates at Ford and told them to price me a BF2 tailshaft. Then I called WA Suspension in Osborne Park Wa and booked it in for today to reset the springs and remove the 2" blocks. As soon as I drove it afterward the springy feeling was gone and, even better, the vibration is now gone. So then Ford called back today as well and said a BF2 tailshaft would be $2150 ! I told them that for two grand, I'll get one made and STILL have money left over for prossies ! But that's not all. Their spare parts guy apparently said that there has been a tailshaft update and that I may not need to change it out if I have the new one in. But they can't tell till they get under it. Which will happen tuesday when they fit my SECOND new diff under warranty. Will keep youse informed. But very happy now with my resets. They came out 5mm higher than with the blocks but will probably settle a bit. So, moral of the story is that resets ( for me anyway ) are the way to go over blocks. Also, WA Suspension, fking top guys and very amenable to doing a deal on the resetting cost.
  18. Update. I had the reset springs done today and blocks removed. It made a big a difference to that issue I had with the springy feeling and eliminated a harmonic vibration that had started when it was lowered. Very happy and glad I did it. WA Suspension in Osborne Park WA, excellent attitude and very amenable to doing a deal. AAA+
  19. It feels like when I hit a small bump, the rear flexes a bit. A bit of a boing sort of feeling, like it winds the spring a little bit. Maybe the blocks have a bit much leverage against the springs or something but even my Missus noticed it when she was driving it around the other night. Of course, it could be just the 20" rims but I don't think so. Will know tomorrow I guess.
  20. Heh nah mate, he was talking falcons. Unless you were just takIn the piss, in which case, as you were. My bike has a Mitsubishi turbo on it, can't recall the model but apparently equivalent output to a GT25 (I think) but with smaller physical size. The guy who does the kits has a 750rwhp Hayabusa for land speed in the UK. Jack Frost from Holeshot Racing.
  21. I have 2" blocks in my FG2 ute and I dont like them. I can feel them acting against the springs on bumps, its like they have leverage on the springs and can feel it winding and releasing the springs each bump. My Missus even picked up on it tonight when she took me for a cruise for a couple of hours. I have it booked in to get the springs reset 60mm on wednesday and losing the blocks. I had them fitted a week ago when the new wheels went on and knew it was a cheap option, I was hoping they'd be okay but prepared to flick them if I wasnt happy. Ive had smaller blocks in other utes which were fine but I think 2" might be a bit much.
  22. Efi is down the road. I'll get the orange bike turbo set up sorted and keep the black bike parked up for the time being. One day though, itll get a fuel injection set up fitted and maybe put it back on the road, after a couple of laps at the track of course.
  23. Jack, pulling the sports bar off is piss easy, just some cap screws. Then I bought a Standard tarp with no holes in it. It came in a complete kit with rods and plastic receivers and all. I then pulled the bar to bits, bubble wrapped it and chucked it and the holy tarp on a shelf in the garage. Dillz the car steers great, it was aligned when lowered and they didn't tell me of any probs. However, being an untrusting person, my young bloke does wheel aligning so I do plan to have him check it. I would also like it lower but I use it to lug my bike, tent, Barbie, tools, esky and everything to the drags so I won't go too much more. On another note, I don't like the feel with the 2" lowering blocks so I have booked it in to WA suspension on wednesday and they will reset the leaves for approx 60mm drop and remove the blocks. Also I have a new vibration coming through the rear end since lowering so I am seriously considering going to a BF2 tail shaft for peace of mind.
  24. Cheers guys. Shyfrd I'm on my phone so can't post but there's a " who has a motorbike" thread somewhere here that has pics on it.
  25. Just a general knowledge question. How much boost can you safely run on pump fuel such as BP 98 in the ford motors? I was chatting to an old fella down the road and he was astonished that I have put up to 16psi boost into my GSXR Streetfighter without it melting. It got me thinking about why it doesn't blow the compression ratio past safe limits. Even though I run Haybusa pistons to lower the comp a bit.
