  1. So what happened with insurance?
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzFGUUR1UDI&feature=related
  3. So is there a cruise this weekend ? Nice weather for it, might even wash the ute.
  4. I think you should get a quote from Ford for the genuine replacement wheels and tyres, then get a quote from the wheel and tyre retailer for the wheels and tyres you want, then call your insurance company and see whether they will pay for the new combo, or part thereof, instead of buying you two new replacement genuine rims and tyres.
  5. Friday night gets my vote. But, in for this weekend either way.
  6. Heh, I'm out too. But likely in for the following week if rain stops play.
  7. Mate the cover is removable, I would assume it comes off with the same method as the mk1 ( whatever that is). You also need to think about how the wiring will look going through the cover as well. I guess you'll need to dummy them up when you get the ute and see what you reckon. Hope it looks the biz!
  8. I'll be in Malaysia this weekend, back for next weekend though !
  9. Awesome ! Reducing road noise alone would make it a great mod. Maybe I could wrap my diff in the stuff
  10. Yeah I got Top End Audio to do mine, but he cut the original cover and fit the guage cups into it because OEM covers were not in stock for him to premake one. Myabe that's changed now. The only issue is the guage cups are black and the ICC cover is grey, still looked okay, but I cut and shut a black dash mat and now it looks pretty good.
  11. Just drove the car to address Useless' comments because, tbh. It's never occurred to me that the gauges would be in the way, and for good reason. They aren't. Seat all the way down and almost all the way back. I'm 6'2". I can see the bonnet over the top of all the gauges except for the one on the very left and that's only just above the bonnet line. So no, the vision is in no way impaired. The rear view mirror is 100x more of a vision impairment than my gauges. Maybe if you were 5' high, in which case, get a cushion, or a corolla.
  12. Vision is fine,I'm over 6 ft but my Missus isn't and she's never complained.
  13. This is currently my favourite thread. Unless someone posts tits in another thread. But yeah, until then ....
  14. Picked up my ute from smash repairs today after four days of it getting fixed because some anonymous d-nozzle ran into it somewhere when it was parked. My first insurance claim ever ! $1600 for a minor ding in the passenger door and front guard ! Crikey !
  15. I used wa suspension to reset my fg2 leaves because lowering blocks are ghey. Good guys, good service, lent me an AU falcon for the day too.
  16. I'd only be interested if it had three turbos, then I could have three blow off valves and three boost gauges ! Could I have one turbo tuned for economy, one for drags and one for impressing the bitches ? Bitches love turbo's !
  17. So I went to cut some ally plate to make a mount for the boost controller on my bike and the plasma cutter decided it didnt want to work any more. Does anyone know a company in Perth that repairs them ? I need it done soon or I'll have to try and cut this thing out with a jigsaw and that aint gunna be pretty,
  18. Now that I got photbucket working again, this is just another pic to demonstrate that vision is no issue. Also to show off my half arsed FG1 dash mat.
  19. Bit far to drive to get them fitted isn't it ? As I mentioned earlier, a black dash mat helps the black guage cups blend in tremendously. My advice is to cut a cardboard template to fit the back of the gauges neatly before cutting out the guage shapes from the mat. The FG1 mat that I used looks great but I did a rubbish job on that part of it. I have a FG2 mat coming in now and will do better this time.
  20. I vote for your wheels. Try wheel balance, then borrow some wheels off someone and see how that goes. I've had Achilles and some other Chinese rubbish on 20s and none would balance out the vibes. the achilles were better than the new ones though I'm not entirely sure the rims aren't part of the problem either. I have Falkens on my new ute, no wobbles.
  21. Yeah mate, all done, looks good and works good too. EGT guage isn't as usefull as I thought it might be. Next time will include AFR Instead. The only thIng being that the gauge cups are black and the dash is grey. But a black dash mat with custom cutout to suit the gauges looks porn!
  22. Dude, Steve is doing the run on Saturday so Grug can make it. Grug doesn't knock off till 6. The run before last went via jarrah dale to nth dandalup then across to mandurah, so yeah sometimes country roads at night do happen. Prob won't make it on the day run though :(
