I have kings SSLs in the front and reset by 2" at the back. I tried lowering blocks but they were rubbish. It's be nice to be even lower but I carry stuff on occasion and a motorbike, tools, tents, esky, barbie and all that make it impractical to go any lower. The ute never scrapes on speed bumps either which is awesome. My VE sedan has SSLs all round and scrapes if I even LOOK at a speed bump.

Fk me ! The missus just discovered that the little readout on her new Mondeo dash that says she's got 13 km left before empty cannot be trusted. I also discovered that its no fun trying to put fuel in the fkn thing while its raining cats and dogs !

Calling an XR6Turbo a XR6n/a and trying to convince the police and the insurance company that its a non turbo sounds like the perfect way to give your insurer an excuse to not pay any insurance claim. I think you're doing the right thing by waiting.

I got 285/30 falkens on my fg2 ute and some online calculator said they were 3% taller than my stock tyres. So I have been wondering what that's done to my speedo accuracy. I plugged in a tomtom yesterday when we went to mandurah to pick up the missus new Mondeo thing and the speedo now reads about 2% low. That is at 100 indicated, tomtom says 102, at 110 indicated, tomtom says 112. 60 indicated is 61, 70 is 71, 80 is 81-82. So there you go.

I had a great time too thanks guys. The missus made a few noises when we belted I to that off ramp, grabbed the Jesus handle and was hooting like a 50 year old yobbo by the time we fired out of the exit onto GE highway ! Last night was definately the hardest I've driven my car since I've had it.

So I was in at Lane Ford in Mandurah yesterday with the handbrake looking at an ecoboost Mondeo when I spotted this thing. The salesman told me it was some sort of prototype by Ford and there was only two made and it was for sale for something around $100k. I have no idea if any of that was accurate but I have to say, it looked very very nice.

I've missed a few so I'm keen to get out for drive.

That's something I can do with what I've got now. Will see about the repco vac thing too as I like that idea.

So I've wheeled the big banger up onto the work bench. The trouble with this one is it makes a bit too much boost and overpowers the fuel pump and boost sensing fuel pressure reg for the carbs. So I'm backing off the waste gate actuator (mitsubishi turbo with internal waste gate) to when it's just holding the wastegate closed and installing a Turbosmart boost tee. I'm trying to come up with a simple way to accurately test the cracking pressure of the diaphragm actuator thingy. I can turn my compressor pressure adjuster right down but I'm sure that's not accurate enough. Any idea's ? I do have a boost guage laying around. But what can I use to make the pressure and hold it ? Maybe a large syringe ? Chemists dont sell them, I tried. A little hand pump would be great, if I could buy one.

Just thought I'd share this. Built this bike a few years ago, decided a while back to get some more power out of it and just use it for the strip. Got it fired up yesterday and sorted a minor running issue with it today. Just need to fit a decent breather bottle in place of the little filter I bodged up and get tech inspected and dyno tuned. If you see this bike in the pits at ANDRA meets, come look for me and say gidday.
