  1. All settled then. No more date changes. I'll get Kyle to do a group PM to everyone with the address when we get closer to the date.
  2. Looks like the 21st has the most votes so I guess that's it, sorry Luke. Ciaran, if workshop space is an issue, you can call over on pretty much any weekend and we can knock it over. Or just wait till the next maintenance day.
  3. I don't have any deep sockets so that might be a good idea.
  4. Yeah mate, still std line so I will order an oil line kit today.
  5. Yeah no stress Kyle. I'll just do a basic barbie, tea, coffee and soft drinks.
  6. All you need to bring is yourself and any oil, filters, parts etc. I have plenty of tools, waste oil drum, stands, 3/8 drive torque wrench if needed, and a kick arse trolley jack Although I imagine you won't have any jobs waiting to be done on your beast, Chris ! No need to bring food or drinks.
  7. I'm flexible on the dates, so whatever works for the most people.
  8. Kyle, I can hold another maintenance day at Chateau des Bogan. Last one was an awesome day even though only one oil change, some replaced brakes and a couple of broken bolts were achieved. I might get an Earls kit as well.
  9. I had an XG that did that. Sprayed around the leaves with CRC and that cured it till the next time it rained and it got washed away. Once the rain dried off the springs it would creak again. f*cken POS.
  10. I thought long and hard about that long motor if it could be got for a good price. Not for my current car, but to put on a stand in the bike room and start sourcing good bits like a big turbo, manifolds etc to eventually have a motor ready to put into something light with a C4 for the strip or whatever. But then I thought about my half completed Y3K Porschev project in the garage and decided I should calm down a bit. Although she is easily impressed by shiny parts, I'm not sure I could get that one past the boss without a fight anyway.
  11. Yeah I saw the FEARED ute as he was pulling in, had just enough time to let him know it was all over before I got the guilts about holding up traffic at the exit. Hopefully next time.
  12. Thanks for organising this Kyle. Awesome weather and a few chances to stretch the legs. Listening to mummba's car was a bit of an experience ! Here's a couple if crappy pics off my phone.
  13. I'm getting used to it now Steve, it's not too bad. Give me a week or two driving it daily and I'll have a better opinion.
  14. No dice Luke, but I'm considering hanging a photo of my testicles off my mirror instead. Went and saw Simon yesterday after work, the exhaust bangs against a trans mount bolt on the odd right hand corner, they fiddled with it and thought theyd made it better but on driving home, it became evident that it still needs to be sorted. As for trans tune, it's a bit harsh when the box is cold but liveable when hot. steve, you use your car for work so I'm not sure I'd do it if I was spending all day in the car. Simon can soften it off but then it also softens off the full noise gear changes which defeats the purpose. We'll organise a drive so you can see for yourself. I'm going to live with it for the moment and decide in a while if I will keep it as is. Apparently the four speed trannies could have a different map for manual mode but the sixes do not. I'm hoping I can learn the drive around it
  15. Yeah it makes short work of second gear now. I think that line graph should show ft.lbs rather than N.M. too but I'm not sure. I'm calling back in this arvo to sort out a little buzzing in the exhaust that I'm getting and remove the O2 sensors as theyre hitting something in some conditions. I might also see if they can soften up the gear shifts when cruising too, they're a little harsh for my super cool, laid back driving style.
  16. Yeah, he was fresh out of chrome cup holders.
  17. Yeah mate, already had the nizpro cooler and ID1000's so Simon added a GTX with 38mm flapper, growler, 4" dump and twin 3" s/steel manta zorst, surge tank, trans tune and a new foxtail. Haven't had a chance to put the boot into it yet but it's definitely more laggy, the turbo whistles like a fkn kenworth and the exhaust is a heap louder.
  18. Might have been my car. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Oh Hello ! Had to run it up in third gear because he couldn't disable the speed limiter for some reason. So the reading is a bit low because of wheel slip apparently. Hit my goal though.
  19. Supplied and fitted by Wal at Top End Audio mate. Not that cheap, but quite pretty. Like myself really.
  20. Not sure where you are, but you can try contacting Wal at Top End Audio 0415908228 here in Perth. When he did mine last year, there were no ICC covers available from Ford for him to do an exchange one, so he just cut the guage cups into my ICC and refitted it when he did my gauges. He may now be able to do an exchange for you, or maybe send you the cups to do it yourself, or maybe tell you where to buy them, or at worst, you send him your cover and he send it back to you.
  21. Wogpot, was that new ? I paid 45K for my auto T ute with luxury (or deluxe or something) pack in Jan 2012. So that's leather, satnav, premium (hahahahaha) audio, metallic, also added reverse sensors and reece hitch. Price started at $50K but got $5k knocked out of it. I guess it's a premium price compared to what you can get now, but it was for the MKII when it very first came out (the first one that dealer delivered) and I wasn't interested in a MKI which I could have got a far better deal on. With the impeding doom of the Falcon and the end of the Financial Year, if you went in to buy a car within the next week and tried hard, you would do as good as deal as you ever would.
