  1. My five or six year old crappy black half face has AS/NZ1698:2006 in it. Have they looked at the cloth tag INSIDE the helmet ? edit; going by the comment that there is "no such thing as AS/NZ1698 without the 2006" means that if it says AS/NZ1698 on the back it should be good. I would still look at the tag inside the lid though to be sure. double edit: weather looking good now !
  2. Helmet House, Albany Hwy in Vic Park. You could also try Total Motorcycle Accessories in Vic Park across the road from Macca's. Culleys Yamaha, at the Wanneroo Rd/Reid Hwy crossover in Balcatta. Motorcycle Masters in Kewdale Road, Kewdale have a small range but have cheapies. It's probably worth doing a ring around. I just use a half face in the car, they're pretty cheap. You can try your luck with the scrutineers if you only have the AS1698 helmet and see how you go, feign ignorance and all that. Although you could be spending $55 to be a spectator, but at least you get premium parking !
  3. Check the Motorplex website and go to the rules and regs tab on the left. The helmet needs to be AS1698:2006 and less than 10 years old. Plain AS1698 will no longer be allowed no matter what the age.
  4. I'm running the ute too so I can be one of the crowd. I'll bring my trolley jack and rattle gun brendon if you want to do a wheel change down there. Won't be there till close to six though. Looks like there'll be a team down there!!
  5. I'm confirming tonight if the lads are coming. If they both ghey out, I'll throw the nittos in the back and get some laps in the ute instead.
  6. I'll see you down there Brendon. Will be riding though.
  7. Nah, internal waste gate not behaving. Have to go external.
  8. I had a 12V71 Detroit diesel on the back of a 2.8d 2wd hilux in Kalgoorlie once. Took it from the workshop to the local Detroit dealer. Back in my day....etc etc
  9. Hahaha I vote for #2 cos I can still have lols but my bike doesn't catch fire.
  10. Haha yeah, it's like a normal person racing with a passenger on the back
  11. Yeah it's not fast compared to proper race bikes but a good lap is still a great feeling. This is my best from today with a PB 1.64sec - 60'. The guy in the other lane ran a 9.0 but his bike is full house and runs in Comp Bike compared to me in lowly Modified Bike class. ps, sorry about the name confusion, was surfing on my phone and got mixed up.
  12. 10.30s Aaron. Unfortunately it has to deal with dragging my fat arse down the track.
  13. Back at the Motorplex for test and tune day and f*cking glad to be back at the track! Orange turbo bike still having boost problems so is parked in the naughty corner. Will use this bike for at least a few rounds.
  14. Until I can buy E85 on every street corner, I cant see me converting as a daily fuel. Maybe get an E85 tune just for powercruise/drags or something. I can hardly plan my fuel stops on any old 98RON now, let alone having only four servos in the whole of Perth to use.
  15. I'd love to try a GTX3576 myself. Having the GTX3582 power is good, but it's not very responsive compared to the little turbo. Goes like fuking stink though ! But I reckon could probably live with 50 or so less HP in favour of the better response of the GTX76. Too late now though.
  16. Should be plenty of used gt76's minus exhaust housings around for sale cheap Tony, now that GTX's are the new black.
  17. Sorry Luke, not me mate. Hope you didn't give him the finger !
  18. Yeah had a great day today. Better than yesterday. We cruised heaps, especially the last session of the day, they just left us out there for ages. I might spend some more in braking though. My Chinese Throwaway tyres held my 500hp really well and still have heaps of life on them. Loved it.
  19. Mate those Nissans are like white people, they all look the same to me. But I think it was dark grey, not black.
  20. I was in some tough company today Was awesome playing around with Mummba and Toads in the cruises and the ute managed to hold its own against them too due to auto smoothness helping it hook up. My $140 Chinese tyres performed pretty well too, possibly a little too well as I was hoping for more smoke. Chopped a few commies in the off street racing but got slapped down by a killer all wheel drive skyline. I don't know, but it could be the guy that gave Steve a spanking at Racewars. It was fast ! Back again tomorrow for more.
  21. No worries, dark grey FGII ute with guages on the dash and factory 19's.
  22. Parked bikes on concrete pad, built house around them. Old one was full of skid marks so had the push it over.
