  1. Not hard Kyle. just get behind them in the lane, you may be out of sequence but you can talk to the guy in front of behind and arrange to sneak around him if you need to. Just make sure your lid is AS/NZ-1698 standard or you'll be going home sad. There's a decent vid on the Motorplex website that runs you through what to do when you get there as well.
  2. You can order an apple pie at the pub
  3. Was playing the antilag settings at the track yesterday. As you can see, we have a little more work to do. The first time this happened, the tuner was standing a few feet away and ended up with most of the hair on his legs being frazzled. Funny as !
  4. Played with antilag settings at the Motorplex yesterday. Needs a little more work, hahaha. The first one of these cost my tuner most of the hair on his legs yesterday. Much hilarity ! My righ boot was getting really hot and I started having visions of methanol fires and me running around in my jocks like Will Ferrell in Taladega Nights. Help me Tom Cruise!!
  5. My first tune was done by email. Tuner would run car up, email results to KPM, they would email back and then tuner would run car up again. All sounded good till I finally got the chance to boot it right into the top end a few days later and it pinged like a Kunt. So yeah, you can keep them email jobbies.
  6. Yeah Kyle, I know what you're on about hahaha And yeah Luke, one reason I don't have a cam is so it doesn't become evidence at my own hanging. Not that I hoon or anything, but if I did ......
  7. Good for you Stripes. You'll get over it and the right time for another bike might come up later. Its not right having a new bike sitting there unused and just depreciating in value. You did the right thing. I'm in the same boat with my wife's ninja 650L. She always come up with reasons not to ride it, but it's two years old and has only 2500ks on it. But I don't think she can bring herself to let me sell it though. But it does look good in the bike room.
  8. My barely qualified comments would be to start with an XR6T instead. That way all the crap you need to run a turbo set up is already there. From what I've seen on here, just the conversion from NA to turbo is a pain in the ring and not worth the effort. Also, with regards to filling the engine with forged gear, have a think about where you plan to end up, power output wise. There's plenty of guys going over 400kw at the wheels on a stock engine, so unless its in for serious abuse or proper BIG power, you may be spending money you either dont need to spend, or could maybe defer until later on. You could then stage the build and spread the cost over a longer period. Starting with the turbo, fuel, exhaust, intercooling set up and some tuning at lower boost, then start upgrading as you start leaning on it more and more.
  9. So, this will be a two day run down south. About 450ks each day, including driving to and from Bunbury down the highway. Meet point is at Success SOR at 9,30am Saturday morning before we set the cruise control down the highway at 10.30am SHARP and you'll get home late Sunday arvo. Overnight stop will be in Pemberton and I can recommend the Pemberton Hotel, its a Best Western and the beer garden there is a fabulous place to be on a warm afternoon. Add in awesome pub meals and you're set for a good night. Phone 9776 1017. Probably good to get in early as it is school holidays. At the moment, they have a range of rooms available. This run will have lots of corners and great scenery and a couple of scenic stops. Definately bring the missus. I have the route already mapped out from last time, so were good to go.
  10. Doubles start on the 19th so 20th weekend is out. So it's the 6-7th Dec. Kyle, can you start a cruise thread ?
  11. I will find out when double d's start for Xmas and put something up to guage interest. This is a WAG friendly run.
  12. Can resurrect the down South run if enough interest. It's a two day trip and the E85 guys will need to bring their wifes car. Roughly 450ks each day stopping in Pemberton overnight. Lots of corners down that way, not so many coppers. As for Moore River, I'd be in for a cruise and pub lunch or something for sure !
  13. I would have been up for archery. I have a couple of compound bows at home that haven't been used for a while. But I'm prebooked that day. How far is Moore River and are there any corners ?
  14. Some good pics there Steve. Just my two cents on the Wurth spray bottles. I got given one by my bike mechanic mate who used it for years every day at work for white spirits but scored a spare from the Wurth rep. I've had it for five years easy and it still works great with white spirits that I use to clean everything and I use it just about every weekend. A+++ Quality. Would accept free one again
  15. Anyone with any pics or news from the AFF cruise? I had an excellent day planned in the shed so missed the cruise.
  16. Awesome cruise ! Hallloween Tip #1 If you're a 16 year old kid with no hair on your nuts. Prior to selecting a car to throw eggs at, it's best to ensure that it's not a Ford Explorer full of massive maoris who will f*cken run your arse down and kick the sh*t outta you whilst making you scream like a little girl. Fuking hilarious !!
  17. Steve I would be in if you can get a couple of others interested.
  18. Tobylee, it would easily have been 20 years. When I was living in Kalgoorlie. Ended up snapping the frame down tube on a fuking humingous jump. Expansion chamber slammed into either the ground or the front wheel, folded in half and smashed me in the leg on the way past. Left me pushing the bike home. Sold it to a mate who welded the frame and repaired the spanny, but it was never the same. The big banger YZ came along a few years after that. Ah the good old days, when brain cells where in short supply. Luckily, I've given up dangerous motorbikes.
  19. Cool, always wanted an IT490 after my 175. Ended up with a YZ490 which I swear was trying to hurt me. Had a 2002 road registered CR500E for a while too. Complete dog on the road though, so it was mainly used to throw me into the bushes.
  20. Holy fuken dooley! Carpenter Racing are getting rediculous numbers out of Rocket 3's ! They recently put one into the 8 second bracket. Check this shakedown run of their twin donk landspeed bike where this used only 267 of its available 1000hp !!!! Note that it was only a third gear run. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yWxRWwyyFM
  21. There is so much trick stuff on that bike I dont know where to look !!! I always thought 17" spoked rims were about the sexiest thing ever ! Remember the days when WP Suspension was called White Power ? hahaha
  22. I've been around ! Poor Kyle, he can't even malke the maintenance days that he himself organises !
