Mad Max Fury Road - Dinner And Hoyts Cinema Frankston - Date Sat 13 Ju

Awesome pic. Non stop action and definately worth seeing on the big screen. -
Played a bit of chasey with a dark grey G6ET from Waroona on Nanga Brook Rd today. He cruised past our bikes as we were regrouping after a fuel stop just near the pub. I got down to it just out of town and he must have spotted me running him down because next minute, there was a puff of black smoke out tail pipe and he was into it. I chased him for a while before he turned off. Fun while it lasted.

And who gets to park in the garage and whos on the driveway ?

Yeah, four bays. Plenty of elbow room for messing with cars.

Went for a ride with a mate this morning on his sweet custom S1 Buell running 1340cc's and Mikuni HSR42 carb, big cams and whatnot. We've done tons of miles together over the years. This thing has been revamped a heap of times. Today though it let us down. My mate fitted a new clutch cable and mentioned there was a new rattle coming from the clutch. 1/2 hour into our ride, a ball bearing in the clutch blew apart, leaving us to limp home without being able to use the clutch. Threw her up on the bench and opened up the primary. Theres a heap of metal filings, balls and bits of bearing cage in there, but a good strip and clean, $30 worth of parts and it'll be good to go again. Such a sweet bike this is. Probably will never be sold.

So another day done ! Not much work though! Kyle did his diff oil and turbo oil line and Luke straightened his number plate. But who cares? A heap of guys still turned up so it was still a good day. Thanks for the barbie supplies Kyle. Nice work ! Typical maintenance day stuff. One bloke works, everyone else shoots the breeze.

Fkn hahahaha !

WA Maintenance Day is tomorrow !!!! You dont need to have work to do to come along, just come and say hi and talk cars and stuff. If you need the address, let me know. 11am or thereabouts tomorrow in Thornlie.
-
So this is tomorrow !! If you havent got a PM with my address and want to come along, pipe up and we'll get it to you. You dont need to have work to do to your car to come along, you are just as welcome to come and talk crap.

I've seen that on PSB a few years back. Some dude posting rubbish about naughty bike riders on Perthnow under an assumed name, PSB guys get all uppity. A bit of investigation by net savvy forum members and then, next minute, the guy's home address is practically out in the open on the forum. That's why if ever I'm gunna be a *beep* on a forum, I log in as Luke. I dont like swear filters, but things like SMASH MY DATE are funny to the unsuspecting.
-
Will throw some snags on the barbie as usual. I'll get Luke to group PM everyone with my address in a couple of days.
-
Mate theres heaps of parking on the front lawn. Half the guys that turn up just do it to talk sh*t or lend a hand. Its a pretty social occasion.
-
I have four jack stands and the floor is painted. No dramas if you spill some. I do it all the time.

I decided to back date the clutch in my K6 GSXR the other week. 01 to 04 GSXRs run larger steels and dont suffer from heat so much when getting abused at the drags. It also gets rid of all that slipper crap. I happened to have a complete stock 01 clutch from the drag bike laying around so I fitted it. Turns out I could have just changed the inner hub but its all done now. The only real mod I had to do was the little internal pusher thing that operates the pressure plate was then too long. So I had that machined down by 6mm and it all worked perfect. I had to add an extra clutch steel to get the stack height right too but again, I have them laying around. I also had an MTC lockup laying around that I dont use so I thought, what the hell, and threw that on as well. I then needed an extended clutch cover so I borrowed the one off the race motor for the moment. Looks trick and works great. I also refitted the clip ons but was immediately reminded why I hate them, so they're coming off today and I'm going back to fighter bars.

So. Votes for saturday or sunday ? I dont care either way cos its not far from where I live.
-
So just to close out my headlight issue. Called Ford and said my headlights dont work, if its a switch, its covered under extended warranty. They said yeah, but its possibly just blown globes. I said I thought it unlikely theyd both go simultaneously but they said it does happen, probably a surge from when the first one goes. I went and checked and hey, what do I know! Because both H7's were blown. New globes in, will buy one spare in case it happens again. I dont think its my trailer but you never know.

Im easy for saturday or sunday so whatever the majority wants is fine with me.

Last night, after packing up from the drags, my low beam decided not to work. I checked whatever fuses I could find, even swiched the low and high beam relays cos high beam works. No change. I didnt want to leave it there with my race trailer and two bikes so after I gave up,I drove home hiding behind my son's car with only my fog lights and parkers on and all my fingers crossed. Any idea's where to look ? I'll be able to have a closer look in the daylight this arvie.

Yeah but on the bike. Lookout for a Lucky Strike Replica GSXR seeing as I hurt the race bike. I'm halfway through making a complete clutch change out of a different model which doesnt fit, plus I want to re gear the bike, plus screw the clip ons back on the bike. And I'm 1500ks away till wednesday night. So some, or possibly all those things might not get finished . Oh and im testing copper coated clutch steels for the first time in a hand clutch. So I'm not expecting to win too many races.
