  1. Problem came back again :( I was gunning it, foot 3/4 of the way to the floor and at 120 exactly the power cut and the revs held at 3500 approx and wouldn't give me anymore.... Eased off the pedal and then went again it was fine, the power kicked back in...... Later it did it all over again and the check engine light came back on, I'll give a detailed response of what my mechanic finds, I forgot all the technical stuff he told me.....
  2. Btw yes the bf's have traction controls, dsc and ebd.
  3. Thanks for the replies guys, when my mechanic checked the computer there was just an abnormal pressure reading that set off the check engine light and put the car into a limp mode, he said he adjusted some of the values and there doesn't appear to be any problems with the coils, plugs and or fuel injectors... He didn't mention anything about valve springs :| My car has been going well since though..
  4. Thanks for the quick reply, I'm booked in to the mechanic tomorrow to get this sH*t sorted out, once I find out what the problem is I'll put it up.
  5. Hi Everyone, I've been searching for an answer to my problem all morning and have come up short with an answer, hoping someone may be able to help. I have a Xr6 turbo bf and was driving it a little rough, turned onto the highway and hit the accelerator (didn't plant it)... As soon as I was between 3000-4500 rev suddenly my engine started to shudder and I had a complete loss of power (revs dropped down), the car is still driving alright and the engine isn't shuddering now but the "check engine light" came on (but turned off a few hours later). It's happened a few times when I try and give it some, has anyone else had the same problem or does it have something to do with the rev limiter? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED AS I AM A NOOB!!
