  1. I really dont understand why guys ask what style of wheel they should put on there cars , everyone has there own tastes and what some people think looks crap others love the look of . Dude its your car and there are hundreds of wheels and designes to choose from and at the end of the day if you like the look of it and not what other people think then you have nailed it .
  2. Great job , came up looking a treat . Luv the sun roof , Wheels and no rear spoiler gives it a bit of a euro look but tuff.
  3. Bellato you wont regret using Naviwax , I had James detail my car a month ago and he applied 2 coats of wax to my car , I also bought a tin of wax of him and have applied 2 more coats . The shine and gloss just gets more vibrant and deeper the more you apply it looks like you have just gone a poured a tin of high gloss varnish over you whole car . The stuff is awsome and really well priced . I wont stop using it and will get james every 12 months to hit the car with a light buff and polish .
  4. The icons look real nice also at very good price and suit all colours of car , would anyone out there know if they would fit over big brakes? or are the off sets they are available not suited ? .
  5. Worm thanks mate , Its taken me 2 years to save for brakes and wheels . So 20x8.5 +25 front and 20x9.5 +35 or 20x10 +40 for the rear ???.
  6. Happy Birthday L plate!

  7. Thanks TRA1NR & Bellato for your help .
  8. Elite Auto dont do nizpro anything , dont think anyone in queensland dose . Simon thinks his products are better than everything going and Paul is to set in his ways to change .
  9. Thanks for the feed back Bellato .. I really like these wheels and dont want to get it wrong . Would hate to be stuck with a set off wheels that I would have to sell at a loss because they wont fit under the guards and over the 6 & 4 pot brembos I have on order .
  10. G'day Worm . Its been a while since Ive posted on the forum been to strapped for cash to do anything . Mate you are the wheel expert and know your sh*t ..... Can you give me some advice please . Would love to get Vertini black magic wheels for my car ( 08 FG SEDAN ) 20x8.5 +30 fronts and 20x9 or 20x10 +38 or +40 . I dont want the wheels to stick out from the guard and really dont want to roll the guards will these wheels let me do this . Also do these wheels fit over Brembos , Ive seen some pictures of F6s with them but was wondering if they fit over 6 pot fronts and 4 pot rears . Your advice would realy be welcome , everyones would be ...
  11. 425rwkws ( 570hp ) form Real Dyno Performance on BP 98 running 19psi and peaking at 21psi .
  12. Rancldpunx where about in Brisbane . Photos like that are proof of a quality job and my car looks nothing like the before photos but could do with a once over like that .
  13. It takes 20mins to take the bar off , and yes the grill is one piece. 1/ jack car up and put wheel stands underneath . 2/ remove stone tray 3/ remove plastic skrivets from upper grill also two screws near the headlights then remove 4/ remove plastic skrivets from wheel arch and 2 nuts inside wheel arch cover ( you will need to pull it back to see them ) you will need to pull the bar sideways gently from underneath headlight indicator as there are a couple of clips holding it in place and the bar will come off . To put back on just do it all backwards . And don't worry to much if you carnet get some of the skrivets out just pull them out and replace with new ones around $2:50 / $3 from ford. This will make life easer for you with measurements and sizing a custom bar .
  14. Not sure if this may help price wise , just got a new GTX3582r with new genuine garrett turbine housing ( not included with the GTX ) ported and flapper mod , with a new 8psi actuator and bracket all assembled for $2600.
  15. That was one of the first things I got from ATOMIC , bit pricey but a lot cheeper than a whole engine . will do mate , Its always good to talk to people with experience . Its just hard to no what to do and the path to take when one tuner will say one thing and another will say something else . ( In Bris mate , Redcliffe ) .
  16. XYZ , that's the impression I was under . The f6 had forged pistons but the rods were the same as the xr's . I have herd this from my tuner here in Bris who has a f6 , this car has also featured in street fords . I guess the question is are guys spending lots of $ on there fg's doing bottom ends , even buying short motors , when there really is no need to ( perhaps just doing pistons ) ?. Or is it a only a matter of time before all the guys with f6's going over 400+ start seeing bent rods ?.
  17. Hay XYZ & Paulie , I to believed that the bottom end had to be done to support 400+ safely , something I was considering doing down the track . Had a very interesting 30min talk with a well known tuner from Melbourne and he sweared black and blue that there was absolutely no difference between the fg xr6t and the f6 fg xr6t bottom end , they are identical . ( This shop has built and turned over 4000 xr6t & f6s from BA to FG ) . This is defiantly something I would like to get a definitive answer for ..
  18. Will do . Have e-mailed a few local tuners to get there advice . The part is easy to get and inexpensive . I believe all BA BF and FG V8's run duel feeds but for some reason the FG t's don't .
  19. Ive seen both set ups on the fg so Im guessing the boys have done it them selves , PWR make both single and duel feed expansion tanks . The ones I have been looking at getting . Can the BF,s thermostat housing be swapped for the FG,s ?, Do you think it would be a direct replacement ?. or would be different ?. that's what I thought of doing , but wondering if there is much of any benefit of having both hoses connected .
  20. Hay Guys just a quick question , Having a browse at some of the engine bays out there ( pretty impressive ) and noticed some guys run a duel feed expansion tanks and some don't , some alloy and some factory plastic. What is the main purpose of this ? looking at my car ( FG ) it only has a 2 hoses one in the top and one in the bottom of the tank to the radiator . Dose a duel feed help with the cooling of the car ? ( improve coolant flow ) How do you run a duel feed setup apart from changing the obvious , where the thermostat housing entry point ( hope its called that ) for the second line is sealed . Do you drill it out or can it be replaced with a new one that is ready for that type of set up ?.
  21. YES & YES , Then why are we using them when it seems it only a matter of time until they fail . ( I think you have opened a real can of worms with your 1st post ) . The perfect solution and defiantly the path I will be taking .
  22. Just a thought and I may be way of off the ball park here , but do you think that the all the lines used in these kits are suited to the amount of pressure ( psi ) that the oil pump creates ?, ( that's if the oil pump has anything to do with it ). Also are the braided lines recommend for the use of oil ( designed to have oil running through them ) ?.
  23. Im deferentially no mechanic but even your service manual recommends 7500klms for oil . Went to a mechanics seminar 12 months ago or near a bouts and listened to one of the top guys from Castrol talk about how oil is made and works and even he recommend 7500 and even less for your more high performance cars , particularly turbos. Even top line synthetics can only hold contaminates for so long And please correct me if Im wrong , don't you run the risk of damaging your turbo if the supply of oil is hindered in any way ( blocked line , dirty oil , crap in your oil ) .
  24. Do you think fuel differs from state to state ?. Have tried BP Ultimate also Caltax Ultimate and found that Shell V power always felt better .
