  1. Car: BA MK2 XR6T ute Trans: built BTR 4 speed with mild stall Power: 283 rwkw Boost: 14psi Induction: F6 CAI and k&n panel filter Turbo: Stock Intercooler: F6 cooler Valve Springs: Atomic Valve Springs Exhaust: Stock Dump + 3.5" hi flow cat, stock mufflers Fuel system: Process west surge tank, bosch 044 pump, 60lb Deka injectors
  2. rough idle after feeding it a bit is valve springs, my car was the same and after a while the idle was rough most of the time due to the springs softening over time. As soon as I had atomic valve springs installed, it idled perfect and smooth. What boost are you running? making 240rwkw would not be on stock boost.
  3. I'm not rubbishing them, but I'm worried if I send it back to them, something will happen, costing me huge dollars. And plus Ace, where else is there to go in brisbane/gold coast?
  4. Starts with a H, 2 words, the second word is to do with something measured on the dyno, I'll tell you the name of the shop isn't Hi-kilowatts, it's hi-T.........
  5. Does everyone wanna know who tuned this?
  6. It was left there for the whole day while I was at work, but after I let it warm up after a couple of minutes of driving, it was already playing up. Where do you get t bolts from? I checked my DTC's and its coming up with 3 codes P0172 system too rich P1131 sensor indicates lean P1132 sensor indicates rich. I aint driving this thing on boost at all now
  7. I Can't seem to find any, I'm going to take the front bar off this weekend and have a good look all over the pipework and intercooler just incase one has a split in it. I wonder if a split would create a surge like that though?
  8. Thanks for the replies guys, I have booked myself in for next tuesday. Lets hope they know what they're doin I'm just surprised nobody else has had this same problem with a tuner or with their car
  9. I rang them the first time, said it could be the 02 sensor, bought a genuine ford sensor, $400, didnt change a thing, they also did a 10 pound tune for me, and that is lucky to hit 5psi! And that surges a little bit too.
  10. It aint the boost gauge that's for sure, the car is making crap power on the road too
  11. Well some guys would be blown away if I named the shop. Alot of people around Brisbane and Gold coast think high of them, that's why I think it could be something else.
  12. Hey guys, Got a weird situation, got my ba xr6t tuned this week, 14pound tune making 260rwkw, this is a beefed up 4 speed auto with stally(was told this is the reason for low power on dyno) Anyway, take it out of the dyno place on the road, 1st gear, struggles to hit 10 pound, 2nd gear 12pound and surging between 10 and 12 pound. The car has a turbosmart internal wastegate actuator with a 7 pound spring installed so I wouldn't of thought this would be the problem. It has all the other mods required for this high boost(surge tank injectors, cat, valve springs) , my question is, could this just be from the tuning process with the boost solenoid control? Because being on the dyno it has no load, then on the street under load, making sh*t boost in 1st and 2nd gear, I've only loaded it up a few times in 3rd and that is the same too. Anyone else has this situation?
  13. Hey Whitexr, I've been having similar problems, taken my car to a different tuner, he ran it on the dyno a couple of times only making 250rwkw with similar mods to yours at 15psi, found out it was my new high flow cat sh*t the bed, it was running hot while not even on boost, you would pull over after driving on the highway for 10 minutes not on boost, pop the bonnet and the intercooler piping was HOT! Now that I've changed the cat, temps have gone back to normal, and the tuner I took it to told me if it was the cat causing the problem, after getting it fixed it would boost spike more than what we set the boost at. He set it to 10psi to be safe, now the cat has been changed it wants to spike above that so I'm just waiting to get it retuned and it should have the problem solved. Just you saying the the high temps under normal driving, that was my problem too, and I even had a cooler temp thermostat than stock.
  14. Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone knows if the exhausts in the f6 were bigger than the xr6t standard exhaust, I have a replacement rear muffler coming for my ute which is a genuine ford item but it looks alot bigger than my old one and I'm thinking it could be off a tornado ute? I have a BA xr6t, maybe this muffler is off a BF F6? it has the same mounting points but just looks twice the size. Thanks heaps
  15. Results, bit disappointed but after reading that topic "weird dynos! Or true power?" I think mine could be the same situation 14.5psi = 254rwkw and 798Nm or torque Car feels awesome and I have been told by friends that BPS's dyno does read low and I have a stall, I guess the quarter mile time on Wednesday night will tell the full story
