  1. right o, first off, what truck are you even referring to? I work for a car RENTAL company, and we have too many vehicles to hold in the yard all day, we hold them on a vacant block accross the road and load them up at night.
  2. Anyone else think this "app" is encouraging speeding? if you want accurate 1/4 times, go to a dragstrip. I think the app would be well tested ON a dragstrip, so you could compare the times on your phone with the times on the track.
  3. if all these replacement parts are costing you money because of the actions of Ford's mechanic, why arent you seeking compensation? I would have lost it if this happened to me, no1 takes a car for new struts and expects to come out with the bill you have been given. Definately should be taking this further if I were you. Glad your car is running well now and making healthy power :sungum:
  4. ive never driven an fg t on the highway, only around the block at work when unloading the yard in the morning, couldnt gain any traction even at lower throttle, so I didnt bother, the boss says with a load in the back, the ute is much more driver friendly. I really need to drive a sedan as I have no purpose for a ute and do not wish to buy one
  5. $150k for a GTR, $450k for a 911 turbo, $500 for a Gallardo Superleggera, $600k for a 458 Italia, all cars sport very similar specs, but a GTR is a 3rd of the price of the cheapest rival. Even IF I was a bajillionaire, I would still buy a GTR, and most likely before buying any of the Euro's. You expect everything you pay for when you buy a Porsche a Lamborghini or a Ferrari, to get the same specs in a Nissan is astounding. Yes, its a Nissan, but its no Micra. It reminds me of the review that TG did on the Lexus LFA, they saying at the end of the day its a "Lexus", a $900k Lexus, so what? about the only thing it shares with any other lexus is a badge. If your going to bring bikes into the equasion, put is against a Huyabusa or something of equal standing. No denying that most everyone here would give their right arm for a Lambo or Fezza, but in 10 years time, you still wont be able to afford one, but in 10 years time, you may be able to afford a GTR and feel similar performance of a Euro supercar. If I had my choice, id have a Zenvo ST1, far rarer than any new Ferrari, Lambo or Porsche. I def agree smashing a 600k supercar in your 150k GTR is the ultimate slap in the face, just like smashing brand new 90k HSV Grange's in your 10k VL turbo hahaha
  6. Either car I buy will be bought with the intention of mods to follow.
  7. Ive driven the boss's fg t ute, but I would assume it will feel quite different as the ute is much lighter in the rear? Unfortunately as you can imagine we only have n/a xr6's as rental vehicles, even still they are quite comfortable.
  8. Well I work for a car rental company so if I am to buy a new car, fleet discounts apply for myself, im not sure what type of price we pay on Fords, but we recently took possesion of a few WM S2 Caprice V's at $51k each. We have a wider range of xr6's on fleet too so that may work in favour, anyway I am getting out of hand here, im still in favour of the BF, but in reality the smart thing would be to buy the newer variant
  9. $2500 for 300rwkw on a bf? what mods? cooler, cai, valve springs and a tune would set you back more than that
  10. I love the look of the FG, and ive driven a couple, only in auto though which puts me off, but something about it turns me off, like a bad memory, but I cant figure out what I dont like about them, maybe I dislike the fact that I dont dislike anything about them haha. What are the main differences between the BF and FG?
  11. In terms of brakes and suspension, would you still buy an FG over an F6 for the money?
  12. Wheels in the first post are "different" but different isnt always good! and the Forgiatos are around $15k a set, theres are a set of wheels that Forgiato make that are made of clear acryllic, completely see through, http://www.google.com.au/imgres?q=forgiato&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1525&bih=612&tbm=isch&tbnid=dMgKbajOU6OEyM:&imgrefurl=http://www.gadgetroad.com/forgiato-radurra-see-trough-wheels-are-the-ultimate-bling-106/&docid=ovCXKBNFWmB9_M&w=475&h=267&ei=ZraRTvvqLaikiAezutCRDg&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=171&page=1&tbnh=105&tbnw=187&start=0&ndsp=23&ved=1t:429,r:8,s:0&tx=98&ty=94
  13. Hey guys, Im new to the site and wasnt sure where to post this, sorry if ive posted in the wrong area! So at the moment I dont own an xr6t or an F6, but am looking to buy one maybe in the next year or so. Dont want to rush in and buy something im not happy with. Im looking at either spending a little less to buy and xr6t and parting with some cash for mods or spend a little more to buy an F6 and just do more conservative mods. At the moment I am leaning towards the F6, purely because as standard they come out with better gear, Brembo's, suspension, more power etc. But having said that, after the purchase price of the car, intercooler upgrade, CAI and a tune im probably looking into the $33-35k figures. Roughly estimate power outputs of 270rwkw im told. Where as if I buy an xr6, I should think I will be able to get what im after for around $18-20k or so(id be in the market for a bf mkii). Then for mods I would want to do cooler, exhaust, clutch, CAI, valve springs, injectors, fuel pump, tune, some fat tyres and suspension(over time of course). A mate of mine has the same setup in his BF T and made 316rwkw on 10psi and the power is ample for myself. He has done all this plus the purchase of the car for under 30k, except he hasnt yet upgraded the clutch yet. So my question is in the long run am I better to part with a little more cash to buy an F6 or buy the cheaper variant and spend more on mods? Would you justify the $5k difference and buy the F6? Much appreciated, Benny
  14. Hows your progress coming along? A mate of mine and myself installed his PW 2.1 kit with ease, and we bother have VERY basic mechanical knowledge. The kit comes with all pictured instructions, very good layout. The only thing we found somewhat difficult was moving the aircon condenser pipe(think that's what its called). Took us about 6 hours with a bit of mucking around, overall an easy install and much more rewarding doing it yourself than paying to have it done
