hey I have a question, I own a ba xr6 turbo, my turbo's bushes and bearings and screwed so I bought a new turbo, just wondering where the oil feed line is in the block, does the line get oil pressure as it's cranking or does it hold pressure in the line? I blew my motor a few months back and there was a cylinder like dome on the oil feed/switch line, but I thought that was for an after market oil pressure gague, can anyone confirm this for me ? thanks

Well the flapper arm itself the actuator was welded on the inside of the flapper arm instead of the outside which caused it to be crooked and wear the diaphram out over time,

hey everyone, I have posted on this forum a while back when I first purchased my Ba mkll xr6 turbo manual. well anyway, I had it for a few months before I started to mod it, I priced around and rang a few people, I came to myself that I was going to get all the parts and do most of what I can myself, as I am a mechanic. so I bought a 4" dump and catalytic converter and 2.5" cat back system fitted all myself with deka 60Lb injectors, valve springs flash box, turbo actuator and the turbo wastegate flapper mod. I removed my own turbo which saved my bucket loads and took it to Intune Motorsport at seven hills, he seemed switched on with what he was talking about, he adjusted and fitted my new turbo actuator and done the flapper mod, all went well fitted to my car, then took it to him to do the valve springs and tune. got it back with 303kw at the wheels. the power was awesome. loved it, anyway august of this month I was on my way to work at 7am in the morning, put my boot in it a little to merge as the left lane ended then on boost my car misfired and shot a rod out the side of my block and sump. not the best feeling in the world. long story short bought another motor stripped it completely, new billet oil pump, forged I beam rods and pistons, rings, honed and decked block head service and everything else, fitted it all up got my car running again mid november drove it to another tuner I know and as he was tuning my car he seen the boost was all over the place and couldn't control it so I ended up taking my turbo off again and took it to him. found out that intune motorsports welded the turbo actuator on back to front, which inturn would have been working for a bit but as it was working worn the diaphram in the actuator and boost was massive I think it was like 38psi which was the cause of my engine failure! lesson learnt do better research before you start forking out the big bucks. after everything happened and decided to do my research better I seen all the negative feedback from intune... too late now. but now car is running all smoothly with 325.8kw/atw. at 17psi, in a few months looking for a retune aiming for 350kw

hey mate just a question with the NA block that you started with, did u need to drill and tap thread for the oil and cooler lines and the turbo return line to the sump? or does the NA block have them all just blocked off ? thanks mate -
hey mate just wondering with the NA block did you have to drill and tap holes for the oil and cooler lines into the block for the turbo, or does the NA block have the holes there just blocked off ? thanks

g'day all, I've commented on here a while back, just thought I'd repost with all my mods that's been done. I have a BA mkII xr6T, just picked it up today from getting the tune done, I put a 4" dump with 4"highflow cat, going into twin 2.5" out the rear, put highflow injectors, valvesprings, ported the turbo flapper, and a 12lb turbo actuator on. got it towed to the guy doing my flash tune + dyno. after work I popped down to pick up my car and he tells me it goes like a rocket, it's running 15psi and got 303rwkw, and I must say this thing pulls hard, it put a smile from ear to ear. just thought I'd let everyone know how my mods are coming along. but im thinking it might be it for a while

hey all the names Jamie, ive been following this forum for a while now, I have a BA MKII XR6T had it for about 3 months now and slowly doing mods. loving the car not much to complain about besides for tonight where I had to get Towed home due to my top diff bold snapping away and having the diff rest on the rear cradle :/ VERY LOUD CLUNKING btw. I'm a Mechanic myself so now my weekend is consisted of fixing this issue. just wondering if this has happened to anyone else... I know the diff mounts are quite common to tear, but as for the bolt wich is quite thick was quite suprising. Also im thinking I'll have to ring FORD for this part, just I doubt they will be in stock.. If anyone can help me out with any information that would be muchly appreaciated. thanks oh and im from NSW

hey everyone, bought my BA MK II XR6 turbo the other weekend, it's pretty nice in every aspect so far I am enjoying it alot.... hows all the ford fans going ?

does anyone know with the BA xr6t are the foglights one piece, as in if the globe blows does it need a whole complete foglight ?

hey, I hear with the XR6T BA ll they are sensitive to mods, like if a full exhaust is fitted to the vehicle is mucks some readings up and doesn't let it boost or run above 3000 RPM, is this true ? it sounds a little innacurate to me but I just wanted to figure everything out before I start modifying my car! thanks heaps jamie
