Alright Geelong T-boys, Jaren is out for at least another month and I want my flip key cut. Where in else in Geelong can cut a BA flip key.

Are we a go or no go for launch?

Father in law lost a key and remote for his SY Territory. I have got him an SY flip key from Ebay. If you only have one original does he have to go to Ford or is there another way?

Stazza, What is the unit up on the RHS of the dash? Some sort of data display from the OBD port?

The company have been great. REfunding the money and paying for a courier to pick them up and take them back.

So the Missus brings the brake parts home tonight, and BOOM. These are not premium brakes. They are factory rotors and calipers that have been painted black. Now some people might not know the difference, but as an EX-Ford Engineer, I know my premiums from my standard calipers. Makes sense now about the convenient photo that doesnt show the outer caliper face that should have a Ford logo in white. I wont flame the company now, I will wait and see how they handle this first.

Yeah not putting much faith in the pads and rotors. Missus is picking up as we speak. Will measure rotors tonight

Got my hands on a second hand set of BA PBR premium brakes. See pic. I will fit braided hoses when fitting them, is there anything else a I need? They were taken off a ute, so I understand I need to swap rear anchor brackets L to R to fit my sedan. Apart from a big can of brake clean.

Guys, My valve springs are in need of replacing. I get rough running and idling after WOT'ing it. feels like 5 cylinders maybe even 4! I want to get them replaced and thinking of Atomic or Crow. Any recommendations on a good wrench surgeon who could it in Geelong or Westside of Melb?

Cut & polish, then a wax. Finished off ICC. Just need to find the vacuum cleaner. Oh shes at work!! I will get the boy to do it!

Second for Valve springs. I am handy with a spanner, but not brave enough yet to tackle valve springs in my backyard. In geelong, happy to travel.

Chaps, I noticed when I was cleaning my actuator solenoid that my turbo inlet hose has a tear in it from the hose clamp. Its the big one that acts a joint from the cross over to front of the turbo. See pic. Has someone got a part number or suggestion about replacing it.

Bugger it, I wil have a go!! Like to know what mine makes.

I have posted before on this but I did the X5 20" in matt black. the cheese and kisses liked the black but not the matt. I cleared them in plasti dip gloss clear and they look ace. 2 wheels per can I got. $24.95 is a better price than ebay. If its cheaper than that somewhere let me know I am doing my T as soon as possible.

What Scatterbrain said, However!! Only cut slots on the flaps, dont remove the flaps completely. They introduce a high pressure area under the front bumper, that helps airflow into the the lower front grill. Also they will allow better airflow thru the slots you cut. Early BA's had the slots in the undertray for brake cooling, but were closed up early in the brake shudder saga. The theory was that dust and debrit were contaiminating the brakes causing shudder. That was the first reaction as the problem wasn't fully understood and it was a very cheap tooling mod with no piece price impact.

Nope, they wouldnt cut it!! The guy manning the stand siad he hadnt done it before. that's cool I will go back next week.

Went down to get my new flip key cut by Jaren today, only to find the poor guy is off work for a while because of some knuckle headed kid. Apparently people have been throwing things off the second level of Westfield, and yesterday he got hit in the head with a book that injured him! What is going on in this town? Hope he gets better soon!
