  2. Just wondering.. If I mix the decent nulon octaine booster - claiming to boost fuel octaine by 5 octaine points, with 91 unleaded, will that be safe for use in an xr6T, and would the quality be just as good as 95 octaine?
  3. Just curious if anyone on here has completed this course.. If so, how long did it take? (hours approx) and if you done it correspondantly or not. Thanks a lot *Small Business* - what the title was meant to read
  4. Nice, thanks man. That's mates rates though I take it?
  5. Thanks man, I rarely race it, or smash it from the stop. I just like the turbo pick up mainly (which of course everyone else on here would). So If I just get a Cold air induction and a tune, then the box should be fine if I only give it a bit occasionally in the higher gears?? It's got about 123,000 on it, and planningo n keeping it for a solid 2 years as its almost paid off..
  6. Yeah, but what if I wanted my original LSD rebuilt and refitted at 120,000 kms, would that be wise??
  7. Hey people, just thought I'd link up a cool forum that I stumbled upon... Was primarily an online gaming forum, but has now branched out to fitness, gaming, cars, - a few smicko american car pics uploaded too btw from members, risk assesments etc. Main reason really is that a few of the American members loved the look of my BA ute, and I would like to see a few others show off their ride.. Well here's the link anyway, thanks. http://sadclan.forummotion.com/
  8. hehe I'm not even sure what or who 'stainless' is, but I'd much prefer my money to go to a vehichle, rather then any gay enounter... :S
  9. Yeah thanks mate, but I'm probably going to still be keen to stick with the fords, maybe branch into the FPV's Or a Boss
  10. Mate I was using 91 octaine with otcaine booster, and my mechanic said my spark plugs were dirty as all f*ck as the would misfire on a cold start up, said it was directly contributed to using 91 octaine, and that I should use a minimum of 95 octaine, so if that's doing that to the plugs, you could just image the sh*t going into the engine... I usually use 95 most of the town, and occasionlly when I go on road trips I use 98 octaine, just to give all the conponents a nice clean and lube job while you're taking it for a decent run..
  11. Wondering how much a decent braking system would approx be for new rotors, bigger pads etc, and what brands I should go for...
  12. Just wondering, how much a suspension set up on my BA ute would set me back approx, with springs, shockies and all, and best types of brands etc
  13. Just a random question people, as I'm probably going to keep my BA Turbo for 2-3 years, just wondering what I could get in the $25,000 bracket in two years time... as in, what years models and such will be down to that price range by then.. maybe a smick FPV
  14. hmm, do you remember how many k's it had approx when the gear box went??
  15. hmm ok, but what does cai mean??
  16. hehe thanks bro, hold that beer, make it a bourbon..
  17. Is there any spartky out there that has completed their Electrical Contractors course in Queensland Australia 39093QLD?? Reason I'm askin is that my work has paid to do the 39093QLD course, and I have completed the first assessment, and am currently working on the 2nd (testing) sample assessment, but that is to only be an endorsee after I finish that course (which has a prac test assessment in the end). I have to do a separate business course (unless I want a qualified business person to be on my contractors ticket - which I don't) to get my own contractors ticket and abn.. just wondering if any sparkies on here have done the business side, how much it cost and how long it took to do it?? And while I'm at it, how much do yous pay for your yearly Insurance on your Contractors ticket, and how much liability does that cover?? apparantly you need a minimum of 7.5 Mill cover, but everyone keeps saying different amounts of what they pay. Thanks.
  18. Oh I understand you mate. So if I Gross $20K on the side, and have $10k expenses which are tax deductable, that means I only pay tax on $10K? Hmm I'm really going to need an accountant for all this (obviously) as my primary job as an electrician I'm entited to a tool allowance of around $1000 p.a in which I usually get a tax return of around $1200 ish after zone, tools etc. My accountant mate said I should get a separate bank account and put aside 20-25% of my income from my contractoing work for tax. And whatever I have left after the financial year after I pay my taxes (after deduction) I can put into my savings or spend on what I like
  19. I just got a genuine passenger door Actuator and new wiring, and wondering if its an easy job to get the door panel off and to replace the actual acuator??
  20. Living in North Queensland Australia, where the climate is often warm, just wondering if it's necessery to be using fully synthetic oil in my BA xr6T??
  21. Ok as the title says.. Not too keen on replacing my gearbox for a 6 speed.. just wondering what suggestions you people have for getting extra kilowatts from mods that won't make me have to replace my 5 speed manual gear box or affect the engine.
  22. Ok, so my BA 03 ute is currently stock, and I'm ordering a new K & N Filter replacement... Does anyone else use this and what difference did you notice straight up??
  23. Yeah mate, but thing is, I work for the government as a sparky mon-fri and have a work vehicle for that, and my 03 model xr6T I only use on weekends to to go the gym or do electrical jobs etc, so I don't plan on getting a 3rd vehicle just for 1 or 2 days work a week lol... soo just say hypothetically I earn $20 g's in the financial year on the side through my contractors number, and pay $7000 tax... what if my tax deductions equalled $7000 or more (still hypothetically speaking), does that mean I don't have to pay tax at all on that $20 thousand??
  24. Ohh I see, well that sucks.. I might just make do with what I got atm, and just save the dollars, maybe in a few yrs time a decent newer fpv will only be in the 25's and I can easily pay one out in cash... I don't drive it that often anyway, and I don't really race it/do burn out/ or take corners fast, I just like the pull of the turbo, and mines good enough for me I guess
  25. Thanks man.. haha yeah I have got an accountant mate I'm going to speaking to in person within the next few weeks about it all, just figured this would be a good place to get a heads up as I assume a few people in here would have their business set up. When you say a Lease, how do you go about getting a lease? And who do you lease the vecihle from? that could be an idea, but that would mean you'd be getting a few vehicle every few years or so hey?
