  1. henz I believe it does support vct but not fly by wire im gonna contact nizpro and a guy in geelong who has done wolf for a xr6 turbo see what they say
  2. oohhh ok yep right, I been reading flat out about it I would go with a flash its just that I got the wolf sitting there so its not the cost that is the issue, simplicity, realiability but most importantly I want more POWER the more I read from existing threads and from your replies I probably go with the flash I got enough headaches with the diff dont need another. so the best person to do tune ive heard is nizpro, any objections?
  3. what do mean vehicle security and module communication I dont know what that is, can please elaborate for me. I wanna make the right choice the first time but I dont wanna take "cause I said so" as a reason or "well that's what everyone else uses". or if you know someone that has used a wolf let me know so I can PM them its sometimes hard to find the answers I want using the search function I tried and gave up could take hours and I might not find an answer quicker to just start a thread
  4. yer but why what reasons, will I have issues with it in the bf it ran awesome in in my turbo au never had an issue. do the x3 have any issues?
  5. hey guys, I got a wolf v500 from a previous car im almost ready for tuning question is, do I use the v500 or buy a sct and get a flash tune, im aiming for 350rwkw- 380rwkw I plan to stop there but you never know, will I have headaches installing the v500 and running it with the zf and other factory sensors or will it be better better to sell the v500 and flash the car. secondly anyone know a good reliable tuner that I can speak to im in victoria cheers
  6. I just finished my install of a shift light seeing as a few people want to do the same but are having issues so I thought I would put it up. http://www.jaycar.co...ch&form=KEYWORD I bought a frequency switch from jay car, YOU HAVE TO SOLDER THE KIT TOGETHER p.s get the ub3 box also its on the receipt $5 the kit has an LED on it which you can use as a shift light, but if you do I recommend buying a much brighter one. This also is very good because the LED is tiny so you can hide it easily and still have the stock look. I used an old adjustable speco shift light with a 12v globe in it, I chopped all the wires in the shift light (don't need them anymore the frequency switch turns the light in and off) and soldered the power from the relay on the frequency switch board directly to the pins on the globe. the circuit works by detecting the pulses from a sensor you choose (I used the cyl 1 injector because of easy access, brown wire) and by adjusting the pots on the board you set the rpm you want the frequency switch to activate the light
