  1. Cheers for the advice guys. I am going to get a built powrglide with transbrake from protrans I think. Definately 9" diff, I would like to try full locker no lsd. Mini spool sounds pretty great too though. I want to chase 1000hp at the wheels so definately custom tailshaft probably billet. But I want to see how much a carbon tailshaft could handle also. I want to have the whole driveline built to handle my goal of 1000hp before I get to the motor.
  2. Yeah I think iam gonna ring protrans in the next few days and get a quote for one of their powerglides. I do have a question though... Of all their listed transmissions online only some of the powerglide builds have a weight rating (3100lbs). This probably doesnt matter, but im just curious if their is a weakness or anything associated with this.
  3. Hey with the gear vendors overdrive. If I was to buy it before I had the trans fitted, do u reckon it would be the best time to also get it fitted when trans is being done?
  4. Thanks for the heads up on those gear vendor overdrives stee3. I think I will definately try and get one of those with whichever trans I go with mate, they look as though they would definately take alot more pressure off the trans itself and maybe even take a little stress off the motor also.
  5. Thanks snapper. Yeah it would be over 40+. Was being consrvative really. Im tossing up throwing the most I can at it. Which would end up being over 50+ . Yeah I mean to ask when I find the right shop to do the work. Just would like to go in there with some ammo/info that I could learn here from people who have gone through a big build.
